5823B Fairfield 4Ft Window Box- Black

We have had window boxes on our home for many, many years. My husband would build them for me, but enevitably, they would need yearly repainting, as they were wood. We have wanted these Maine Window Box Planters forever, but hesitated because of the price. Amazon had a great offer, and we purchased 3 for the large front windows on our 1887 Schoolhouse. We are SO glad we did. Because of their very high quality they will last for many years. My husband was extremely pleased, and a little shocked, at how easy they were to install. We also purchased the decorative brackets, sold on Amazon, which made them look extra classy. A friend of ours told us they made the house look “regal.” If you love to garden with window boxes, like I do, I can offer the highest of recommendations for these products. The money you spend now will help to make your home more beautiful for many years to come.

You will not be disappointed. Very well made . Looks very expensive and self watering how can you not like that. Way to go Amazon!

Looks good and is fairly sturdy. The inner dimension is a little small for the size due to the hydroponics. I live in a rainy climate so I drilled the bottom for drainage.

Great design and installation was straightforward ONCE I figured out the measurements for the 4 foot box. Instructions only gave measurements for the 3' box, so here's what to do for the 4 foot one. Measure the center of where you want to mount and then, from the center mark measure out and mark 6" and 18" left and right of the center mark. Then you can mark your holes using a bracket aligning the bracket's center with the marks you made. Took off a star for that reason. Beyond that, the boxes are great! They locked into place easily and they felt really secure. Brackets are virtually hidden. Kit comes with wood screws, but if you need masonry screws, you'll have to get them separate.
