I got this to use an old SATA HDD as an external hard drive. It works, but it’s build quality is not the greatest, especially at the price something as simple as this is being sold at.

I was going for the micro USB port model, but found this after some research. It is easier to carry similar cables. The 2.5 inch HDD was a great fit, now my drive looks like any other external drive. Immediately worked out of the box. No tools required. If you have no special requirements, I will recommend that you but this 100%

I only ran CrystalDiskMark once to get a baseline sustained write number and then went right to the task at hand and the reason I bought this enclosure. I have a large 8TB Samsung 879 SATA SSD that I wanted to use as a backups drive via FreeFileSync (the 2nd screenshot) and am happy to report the speeds are fine. The first few minutes of a large transfer the enclosure is able to saturate the USB bandwidth nicely, then after a few minutes of sustained write, my SSD's cache fills up and the write speed drops which I fully expected and knew about anyway to around 160MB/s. This is a by-product of my SSD and not the UGREEN enclosure, so keep this in mind when installing your own SSD into it, if you write large volumes in one go then you too may have this issue. Enclosure itself seems great.

Gott kabinett för 2.5 tum SATA SSD. Det skulle vara bättre om det var tillverkad in aluminium men SATA SSD värmer inte till hög temperatur så ett plasthölje är inte en stor nackdel. En annan speciell funktion av denna enheten är en ganska stor och ljusstark LED, som skulle kunna vara en liten USB-lampa i sig själv. Men eftersom dessa enheter fungerar bra med mina SSD-diskar och de ovan nämnda funktionerna inte påverkar deras driften, ger jag enheten 5 stjärnor.

買ったばかりだが特に問題はない アクセスランプもあるし、SMARTも問題なく読み込める。 長持ちしてほしい。 工具がいらないので楽 蓋は簡単に開けられるが、ドライブを取り出す時が コツがあって、両手の親指の先を隙間に入れて取り出すのが コネクタがプラスチックなので少し神経を使う。 いっそのことドライブごとにこの製品を使ったほうが良いかもしれない 今のところそんなに高い製品ではないので。 細かいところだが、ケーブルのねじれを解消するのに 本体側がTYPE-Cなのでさかさまにしたりできるのが ポイントが高い。 当方システムドライブはマザーボードにNVMEも搭載されているが 起動時に急激な温度変化でSSD基盤に負荷がかかるので 使い捨てと割り切ってポン付けで楽なSATAにしている Windowsの体感速度はNVMEとさして変わらないので。 システムドライブ用の予備のSSDをとりあえず エイジングを兼ねた一時バックアップ用として使うのに 当該製品を導入した。
