Perfect for brewing your own ice tea!
I love this jar for making iced tea! It makes enough for several glasses at a time, fits nicely in the fridge, and the tea strainer works very well. I boil water, in a pot, let it cool for a couple minutes, then pour the hot water into the jar with the pre-measured tea leaves to sit and steep. Remove the tea strainer, put on the lid, and let it cool in the fridge. Sturdy glass Ball jar cleans up easily.

Great heavy duty glads
These are the best glass pitchers for making loose leaf tea. They are heavy duty and do not leak. Iโm going to buy another set for our RV.

My fav cold brew mason jar
Iโve had my cold brew mason jar for almost 2 years now. Makes the best cold brew imo!! Could also be used to steep iced tea! Highly recommend!

Fantastic for early mornings in the hot summer, got this one for work
Bought as a brewer I and my coworkers can use at work. This is inexpensive(under twenty). It isn't a complicated device. I do suggest you try the method of putting the grounds directly in the jar then put about an equal amount of water in the jar to start the grounds steeping, then place the filter in. Finally fill the jar with warm/hot water and screw on the lid. This way you can pour coffee through the spout and the filter keeps the grounds in the jar. If you put the coffee in the filter, it has to be removed before you can use the spout to pour coffee. This 'brewer' allows me to start iced coffee the night before, and in the morning my coworkers and myself will have some nice cold iced coffee waiting for us at work. My coworkers have appreciated this enough a few of them have purchased their own for use at home. This is sixty four ounces or two quarts, half of a gallon. It is a nice sturdy mason jar. As long as you are careful to make sure there aren't loose grounds on the gaskets this is leakproof. This is large enough for about six generous sized cups of iced coffee if you use creamer. If not you can get at least five large cups if you prefer it black.

Good quality
Great quality easy to get on and off. Works great for infusing teas. I wish there were no plastic but this is better than no plastic in the meantime.

Efficient and easy to use
Love this. Makes a big batch of tea such a simple feat. Pretty easy to clean.

Good value for price, but do ensure proper gasket placement, calculations for coffee provided
So far so good- comes with gaskets to create water tight seal (nb: the loose gasket in the box goes between the underside of the rim of the center filter cylinder and the top of the jar to create a seal- the picture has it wrong). The handle, the seal, the fine mesh, and the robust glass seem to be of good heft (not flimsy). I did some research to determine how much coffee to put into the center cylinder. Here's what I found per Rufus- For the GMCOZY 64 oz Cold Brew Mason Jar, the standard ratio is 1:4 to 1:8 (coffee to water): Strong Cold Brew: 1 cup (3-4 oz) coarsely ground coffee (16 tablespoons*) + 4 cups water Medium Strength: ยพ cup (2.5-3 oz) coarsely ground coffee (12 tablespoons*) + 5-6 cups water Mild Cold Brew: ยฝ cup (2 oz) coarsely ground coffee (8 tablespoons*)+ 6-8 cups water The coarse grind is key - it should look like breadcrumbs, not powder. As a first effort, I'm using Costco Medium Roast Ground Coffee (2.5 lb bag)- because I don't have a grinder or scale at work. Will report back if results are less than stellar, but I expect a good outcome! *ONE IMPORTANT THING: DO NOT trust AI/Google/etc. to do your calculations for you- one query told me that 3/4 cup coffee grounds = 40 tablespoons!(!!!)- rather than the correct answer of 12 tablespoons! I've added the (tablespoon equivalents) to the Rufus results above. Yes, I know that weighing oz/grams is more precise- but am using this at work (and will likely dilute the brew as needed anyway).

Very happy with it
I'm happy with my purchase. I would make cold brew the old-fashioned way but the filter on this makes it so easy now. I love that it fits mason jars so I can make multiple batches. I do question the handle stability a little. A feel like it could break over time with the weight of the jar when full. I make sure to hold the jar and handle at the same time.
