My son really loves this and it’s really nice, but the battery and charging situation is really annoying. Wish it was an easy plug in, but you have to take the battery compartment off with a screwdriver, the connection to the permanent battery is hard to detach, and the charger is unique so if you lose it good luck.

Ordered for my son’s birthday and opened the package thinking the controller was underneath. There was not a controller in the box so I emailed the manufacturer, which I haven't heard back from. However, was able to easily return the package and Amazon shipped a new one promptly. My son loves playing with his excavator in the sandbox. It actually digs and does all the movement of a real one.

Works great

This is the second of these firetrucks that i have received and put into service. Like the first one this truck, with the battery fully charged, died with less than 20 minutes run time in an in-home tile floor environment. Therefore, I will be returning it for the same reason as before. I bought a third firetruck that i have not yet opened. Right now I haven't decided whether to even open the third one or just send it back. Separately, I gave one of these to a 4-year old at Christmas. That firetruck is being played with quite a while every day, mostly outdoors on much higher friction surfaces than the tile floor in my home. It requires charging about every 5-7 days.

My son really wanted a garbage truck toy, and this one definitely caught his attention. It looks great, and the functions are fun — it moves forward and backward with the remote control, and it makes sounds, which he enjoyed. In the beginning, he was excited to play with it, and it held his interest for a while. However, the reason I’m giving it only three stars is the battery issue. After just a couple of months, the battery stopped working completely. It wasn’t something we could fix, and once that happened, the remote-control feature no longer worked at all. At this point, the truck can only be pushed manually, which defeats the purpose of buying an RC toy. If I had to choose again, I personally wouldn’t purchase this toy because the remote control function didn’t last. That said, I can see how it might work well for others if they don’t run into the same battery problem. Overall: a fun toy with good features, but durability is a concern.

Gave this to my nephew for Christmas yesterday. Charged for 8hrs as advised. Have tried many different things, and though the remote is pairing, nothing happens to the truck when you push the buttons. Have emailed the manufacturer, but will likely have to return. Have a very disappointed nephew!
