Purchased 3 of these nifty little items as gifts for some good friends of mine. Before handing out to these friends, did unbox each item to insure none are damaged or incorrect orders. All seemed to be correct and undamaged and were just as what was shown and described on their page. Only one issue, however. All 3 items have a built-in LED with batteries included, as well as extras. Unfortunately, one of these items was found to have a faulty LED bulb and does not illuminate. Aside from that one bad LED, all else appeared to be in functioning condition.

The knife needed sharpened "most do" the carabiner part takes a while to open since it screws closed "time consuming but not bad" the small screwdriver parts are prob useless, I mean I cant see them being used for anything serious. NOW, for the light. the light is relatively bright, but its hard to get going. When you open the batt compartment the batteries will fall rite out and are hard as hell to get back in. Nowhere on the thing does it say which way to put the + & - on the batteries. after about 12 mins of fighting to get them in there I finally got it. It works good and comes with an extra set of batts as well.

I use this more for safety as I work at night. Its awesome since its also a multi-tool that's always on me. Comes especially handy, ive used the screws, knife, bottle opener, and flashlight. its so easy to have since it just snaps on to any of my bags!

I used this as an everyday key holder and with occasional use to the knife. The carabiner would go on my belt loop and hold my keys. The knife I used as someone who would occasionally use a knife, i.e opening a box, cutting off zipties, etc. The tool lasted 8 months before catastrophic failure; however, there were other problems in between. The advertised flashlight is a joke, and I couldn't keep the light screwed on tight enough not to just fall off without the light being on constantly. By the second month the cap had fallen off (for the above mentioned reasons) and I could not locate it rendering that feature useless. I did use the bottle opener frequently and had no issues there. The flat head and Phillips attachments are functional but VERY difficult to use: They do not lock so they constantly flip back in as you are using them. Speaking of not locking, the knife does not lock in the closed position. I found myself on more than one occasion grabbing the tool for my keys and finding a blade. Luckily the blade is not that sharp so I never cut myself. I can say the carabiner portion of the actual tool worked GREAT, until it literally snapped in two. Overall, you can't expect much from a cheap product; however, I wouldn't buy it based on the "accessories" and definitely would not buy for everyday use.

I cannot recommend this enough. This has been my best amazon purchase to date. Bought this 2 years ago and it is still the most handy and practical. A little bulky but I got use to it. Best money spent. I love it.

This is not the first carabiner knife I purchased. The previous ones were not that much better in quality, in fact this one seems overall more sophisticated in construction, but one of the reasons I bought this model was for the small utility light, which doesn't work even after trying multiple configuration with the battery. So I used my voltmeter and while one set was completely discharged, the other output was less than 1 V. I am no expert with LED lights, but I suspect less that 0.5 V is not enough. In fact, when I tested it in the dark, I noticed a very faint light, which means the LED works, but the batteries, both sets, are completely spent. I'll see if I can buy a few of these batteries since I have other knives with the same setup (and one just went throughout the wash by mistake) so I can use them for this and the other knives, but getting two sets that are almost completely spent tells me that quality control is lax. Additionally, the blade is flimsier than the same type of carabiner/knife combo I have and the blade on top of not being sharp, is lacking the toothed part that makes the other knives useful in care of having to quickly cut a rope. Otherwise, the rest of the tools are OK, but the product is not worth the money in the state it arrived.
