Best Knife Value
Oaksware knives are the best value I have found. High quality, very comfortable handles and hold their sharp edge, I have repurchased twice.

Heavy, sharp, quality craftsmanship
I bought these to replace a set of cheap, smaller pairing knives with fragile plastic handles which we wore out using them for everything - streak knives, pairing knives, dinner knives, cutting up raw chicken and raw vegetables, etc. These are extremely sharp and sturdy, and the craftsmanship is excellent. The hilt feels very good and solid in the hands. The drawback that I was not expecting but would have realized if I had paid more attention is that the hilt is very heavy. Almost too heavy, and with the light, thin, blade it means they are not well balanced. They still work well, especially for my bigger hands, but they can be a bit much for my wife's smaller hands. For the price, they are an excellent buy.

Perfectly Designed and Long Lasting Sharp Knives
Very impressed with all the OAKSWARE product line. Strong steel, very sharp and long lasting. Convenient Handles for all the styles. Perfect knife for the price. Pretty heavy, comparing to the other similar other brand knifes. Not for Dishwasher - heat may destroy the black Delrin® on knife handles. Even though it says stainless steel, just make sure to vipe it dry after washing, before storing in the wood block, or drawer. Purchased all the pieces for the kitchen - 8", 6" Chief Knifes, Paring and Bird Beak. Be careful, don't challenge the sharpness! Looking forward also to buy the 7" Santoku, when it will be available on Amazon.

Nice, but.....
This is a really nice knife. All the other reviews are correct. The blade is 4.25" long and 0.9375" wide (deep). The handle varies from 4" to 4.4375" in length and its width varies from 0.5" at the bolsters front to 0.625" at their end - it is both blocky and bulky. The knife is large for a paring knife and small for a kitchen utility knife. Overall it looks well made and exhibits good craftsmanship throughout, but it's size, weight and blockiness make it a bit awkward to hold. The steel is the same (X50 Cr Mo V15) as a $170 Wusthuf knife that I sent back for being too dainty. At the same time I purchased a Pocket Microscope (Carson 60-120x). There is a very small black spec on the middle of the blade (logo side). It will not clean up? Using this microscope I could clearly see a small pit in the blade with an even smaller dark triangle in the pit. There is rust staining in and around the pit. I'm not sure about this knife, but this pocket microscope ($15) is really good! Looking through it - the smooth flat blade is transformed into a sea of diagonal, left to right ridges, crossed by other diagonal right to left ridges - covering both sides of the blade with one small, shallow pit containing a particle of rusting iron. I like larger paring knives. My most utilized knife is an inexpensive ($12) OXO good grips pro 4" paring knife; it has a large rubberized ergonomic handle that feels comfortable in my hand. As OXO has stopped making this knife; I've been looking to replace it, mine is now 9 + years old. I would like to like this Oaksware knife but I do not have a use for it. A rust spot on the logo side in the middle of the blade is like a flashing neon sign saying "Cheap". 3 stars and it goes back.

el cuchillo está hermoso y se ve muy resistente, bien hecho, pero el filo no es lo que dice en la descripción. Apenas llevo un día de uso y para cortar un jitomate tuve que encajar la punta porque no cortaba.
