I've tried several other ways to shred cabbage, with the last one working really slowly and hurting my fingers and wrist. But This cabbage shredder is absolutely AMAZING. It shreds with lightening speed on both red and green cabbage. It puts no pressure on my hand or arms or fingers at all. It washes instantly and takes up almost no space in a kitchen drawer. You can also hang it if you want. What an amazing design. FIVE STARS!!!

I've used it once on cabbage to make coleslaw, and it is sharp. The cabbage slices are thinner than I like, almost paper-thin, which led to them becoming gummed up in the slicing part. Also, a lot of tiny bits of cabbage flew everywhere, which I found annoying. If you want super-thin slices, this is a great tool!

OMG this is so much easier to use than all my other peelers. It is very sharp and easily peels or shreds. It is so much easier to peel thin strips of skin from vegetables, like carrots and cucumbers. I also use it to shred cabbage.
