FEL-PRO RDS 55341 Axle Housing Cover Gasket for Ford F-150

Used this gasket on an axle housing and it made the job a lot easier compared to using RTV. Fitment was spot on, lined up perfectly with the bolt holes and sealed up without any issues. The material feels durable and well made, not flimsy like some cheaper gaskets. What I really like is how much cleaner the install is. No mess, no guessing on how much sealant to use, just bolt it up and you’re good to go. So far, no leaks at all, which is exactly what you want with a differential cover. If you’re doing a diff service and don’t want to deal with RTV, this is a solid option. Bottom line, great fit, clean install, and reliable seal.

I used this to replace the seal on my daughter's truck. I wasn't sure how well the gasket would work. After cleaning the surfaces on the housing, the gasket fit perfectly and was in great condition. We torqued everything down and were able to immediately refill the differential. It has been installed for several months and no leaks. Much quicker than using the gasket maker in a tube.

Fit 97 Expedition. Good quality. The best part is your next diff fluid change will be much faster. No more messy RTV. No more waiting for RTV to cure.

My truck rolled over 100k miles and I decided to replace the front differential fluid. After removing all the bolts and draining the old fluid, I discovered I could NOT get the front diff cover completely out and off the truck. So instead of using RTV for the new seal, I used this gasket instead. I was able to slip it around the big gear and get the bolts back on. Then refill with new fluid was straight forward, just under 2 quarts was needed. If I knew of the issue with not being able to remove the cover completely, I would've tried something else like getting a pump or siphon to take the old fluid out as best I could, then refill, without taking off any of the front diff bolts. Other than the fill plug of course. Would've been nice if Ford designed a drain plug in the bottom of the housing!

First, it fit my Ranger. Second, it's not very robust, it's kind of thin. That being said, it seems to work ok, and I put a filter dressing on it just to be sure to fill any small scratches or imperfections on the two surfaces of the pan and housing.

I needed to change an axle, bearing, and seal. Ford 8.8 inch rear differential. Factory doesn't use a gasket, they used silicone. I'm 64 and it's just not how I prefer to do repairs. This is durable, not messy, installation is faster and easier. I didn't have to wait on filling the rear end with fluid.

Tackled the rear diff on my 1995 Ford F150. Perfect fit, no longer leaks. Very happy with the product and quality. Comes wrapped on a cardboard square to protect it. Used synthetic gear oil from Lucas and did the job myself for around $100 in total.

Perfect fit been sealed on my rear diff for almost 2 years with no issues worth the money over messing with making your own silicone gasket
