I got these to use in a Sony wm-ex633 Walkman. These batteries should work for all of the EX series cassette Walkmen and it did in mine. Finding an original charger or one made for gum stick batteries is hard and expensive but you can just use any universal charger that has an adjustable negative pole and takes up to C or D batteries. I got the one that was frequently bought together with these batteries that Amazon recommended. The thing about the new old stock or used gum stick batteries you can find used is that they’re known not to hold a charge long at all. These may be cheap quality in some people’s eyes but they’re definitely reliable and one of the only sources of these batteries still made today so I’m glad to be able to find these. And like I said, no need to buy a special charger for these. A universal charger that can charge NiMh batteries and is long enough to fit these will do the trick even if they claim to only support cylindrical batteries.

These are definitely the best gum stick battery available on Amazon. Worked great in my vintage sony walkman. I have found that the best ones I've used are from/made in Australia available on ebay.

This was a replacement battery for my Sony portable disc recorder. I charged correctly and is functioning as it should.

like the title says, the batteries work (in my case for a minidisc player) but they just don't last very long at all.

I very rarely write negative reviews, but this one is well deserved. Two of the four "gumstick" batteries that I purchased this week cannot be recharged. The other two batteries lose a significant amount of their charge within a day or two. I would happily pay more for reliable gumstick batteries if I could find a source.

I read the other reviews and they worried me... not to worry! These both were fully charged right out of the package and powered up my old Sony NetMD Walkman Mini-Disk. While I don't use it that often, it's good to know that it'll be ready to go when I need it. Of course, I can't vouch for their charging cycles or life expectance. DC Bill

We bought these as my son bought a 90s walkman and this is the battery type that it uses….I’d never heard of or seen them before. They charged quickly and seem to work fine. As far as I know he has had to recharge any since the first time

Prompt delivery, charged and working fine in my old classic Sony Walkman WM-600 unit purchased in Japan so many moons ago. Only complaint is the green wrap colour - no much though to aesthetics here. Can't really comment on battery life or long term use yet.
