A Treat to Have with Tea
Every time I read a British novel I get a craving for tea and proper “biscuits”. This last novel mentioned it many times. So I decided to try this brand. We in the States would call these cookies. The flavor is milder, less sweet than the usual cookie, but have a nice flavor assortment. They go well with tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate. And yes, some of the cookies do arrive crumbled. About 6. I didn’t mind since thy were just for me. The manufacturer could improve the packaging by adding some cardboard, or the shipper could mark it fragile.

Broken biscuits
The biscuits are good but unhappy about a lot of them being smashed. I had sent a box to my sister for Christmas and she had the same experience. There must be a way to deliver them whole.

Such a pleasure
I've seldom been so pleased with an online purchase. I received a plentiful assortment of little cookies, each one delightful And so many. Filled a capacious cookie jar and had enough for a supplemental covered dish. A few in two or three varieties were crumbled or cracked, but not enough to mar the experience. I have a personal belief that calories drop out of cracked or crumbled cookies, so it's not a loss.

Not too sweet tea or coffee treats.
I purchased these for the first time and liked both the variety packs as well as the taste. They don't have too much sweetness or fat for shortbread type cookies. Yes, one package did have a few broken cookies; but if they aren't for gifting; it isn't a big deal.

Total waste of time and money
Received withbiscuits broken and stale tasting. Total waste of money after waiting so long. Don't buy

Good assortment of great tasting English biscuits.
This is a good introduction to English biscuits. I had seen them mentioned in some books I have read and had to try them with my afternoon tea, and they have been a great accompaniment.

meh
First, the cookies are not packaged in a box, nor is there any kind of tray, so at least some of them will probably be broken, but mine weren't too bad. I tried these out of curiosity and wasn't really sure what to expect. Have to say I found them underwhelming. First, this is not Tesco's fault, but I had always assumed when I heard talk of "Bourbon" biscuits that they would be flavored with Bourbon. Nope. They are essentially Oreo's with chocolate cream (but less sweet). (I also recently discovered that brandy snaps have no brandy!) The "custard" cream are basically golden Oreos. The other two are essentially crumbly crackers, they are really not sweet at all--not something I would want to dunk in tea or coffee. The "malted milk" have absolutely no flavor of malted milk. So if you're already familiar with these types of biscuits, and you like them, I guess they're fine. If you're just curious... you're really not missing much, I wouldn't bother.

delicious UK treats
Delicious and fresh. The packaging on the outside is one big piece and then inside the biscuits (cookies) are individually wrapped in 4 sleeves of the 4 types in the variety pack. This wouldn't be an issue for most, but I was hoping to split them up as stocking stuffers so that didn't work. Everyone in my family loved them though.
