Great water pitcher with extremely good filter!
My water is “city” water, and the city pumps it from the local reservoir. When seasons change, especially, the water is undrinkable from the tap because the taste is awful. This water pitcher with the blue filter makes the water practically without a taste at all! I don’t know how I lived without it, since water is the only thing I drink. I also use the filtered water for cooking. It is easy to replace an old filter with a new one. Just make sure you fill the pitcher with water and pour it out in the sink around eight times to make sure you aren’t tasting any of the filter’s contents in the water. The pitcher itself is sturdy and works well even after a year of using it at least twelve times a day, for drinking and cooking water. You use the filter for six months, then buy one or two new blue filters just like the one you already have in the pitcher, and switch the old one out for a new one.

Best Brita ever frankly.
The best Brita filter and pitcher I have ever used. Water taste incredible. No lead, no chlorine, judt fantastic water. Pets immediately had cleansing evacuations versus feeding them tap water. They slept better. Holds lots of water. Filter is fast drainjng and snaps in tight. Construction solid versus the other pitchers from Brita. Worth the money this one. Get it.

IMPORTANT: Read This Review Before Hitting The Order Button
Let me start by saying that this was my first Brita and I am extremely happy with this purchase. However, there are some easy mistakes to be made here -- some of which I noticed in other reviews -- and I want to share a few things I learned through the purchase and initial setup process. The most important piece of information I can relay to you is that if you are looking at the 10 Cup Pitcher, there are actually two different models at the same price. I picked the wrong one and it wasn't until I read a review that I realized I should have picked the newer version. Fortunately, I was able to cancel and re-order. The newer version you want is the Pitcher with the SmartLight. You'll notice owners who just purchased their Brita ask why the indicator light is not included. The SmartLight is pretty darn important as it keeps track of the life of your filter, reminding you when it's time to replace it. The next important piece of information I want to share is how much water can be filled in this pitcher. If you read the instructions, it tells you to fill the water to the fill line (there is a tab with a fill line in the top reservoir). If that was all you did, you would notice that you only have 6 cups of water instead of 10. What I didn't realize until I contacted Brita is that you can keep filling the Pitcher after the initial. I measured out 10 cups which took almost two fills. You'll know that you have the measurement right as the water should reside 1 inch below the round part of the top reservoir. Inserting the Elite filter was simple. Just be certain to line up the plastic tabs in the reservoir with the slots in the filter. You should have a snug fit. Push down to make certain it's airtight. Though the Brita is not the best-rated water filter out there (that would go to Zero Water), the new Elite filter lasts 6 months, effectively removes more contaminants than ever before, and as such, situates itself as the best bang-for-the-buck brand. Keep in mind Brita does not filter out fluoride. As someone who is not a fan of the taste of tap water, I was extremely surprised by how good the filtered water tasted. I have finally gotten to the point where I can stop buying expensive cases of plastic bottled water every month, relying solely on my Brita pitcher. One more thing I should add: Customer support is fantastic. I phoned to ask them about how much water can be put in the Pitcher. They answered the phone immediately and were very helpful in answering my question. Don't hesitate to purchase this Brita Pitcher.

Function is great but could be improved with more durable plastic for the urn
I love the size and shape of this pitcher. I pair it with the elite filters because we have lead pipes, which lead/ to high lead levels in our water. I bought this to replace my previous one I obtained through Costco because that one developed a large crack along the side of the pitcher when it was accidentally (gently) knocked into the side of our sink. I wanted to like this one because the blue color matches our kitchen color scheme so well, but unfortunately it too developed a substantial crack on the side—this time even sooner on than before. I’m still using it because I can’t bring myself to buy a third one of these pitchers in the same year. As of now, little to no water seems to be leaking from the crack, but it concerns me. For the price, I would like to see a higher quality plastic that is more durable, as I have done nothing major to cause these cracks.

Great product
It’s great. There is a green light that tells you the filter is good, which is helpful. It is large and holds a lot but that also makes it a little heavier, which I don’t mind.

Worthy Upgrade
We had two of the original white versions -- which worked well -- but the first blue elite was so good we ditched the other white one and now have two of these. Filtration is quite fast and the water actually tastes better (we get our water from a water tank in the hills above us and it is not tasty from the tap). I highly recommend this because it does a great job filtering, has a green light to indicate the filter is still "in season", and the filters last six months instead of just a couple. A bit pricier, but well worth it for us.

I’m happy.
Good quality, beautiful, easy and fast. Just delivered late, but I’m so happy I still give it 5.

Was doing good until I noticed a freaking crack in it
I bought this in January 2024 (so almost 2 months ago at the time of writing this). I wanted to stop drinking from plastic bottles. I settled for this one because I wanted something inexpensive but with good reviews until I could afford to get water filtering put in the sink where I live. I live in the Southeastern US and the tap water tastes like metal pool water. You can smell it. I was shocked at how good the filtered water is. I was fully prepared to return this and didn't expect it to be able to make our gross water tolerable, but I was amazed that it does! I don't know if it took some getting used to, or if the pitcher needed more times than the instructions say to run water through it before it's good to go, but by this afternoon I was fully drinking only this for water and enjoying the extra money in my pocket no longer being spent on packs of plastic bottles. This afternoon as I was going to fill it back up, I noticed that the pitcher is cracked. I don't throw this thing around and I treat it with care. I put some of that tape on it that's made for leaks for now and I have emailed Brita for support, as I am now currently outside of my return window through Amazon. I will update my review once I hear back from Brita and see what they have to offer for a resolution. At this point, I am pretty frustrated that this is happening so soon after buying it, but hopefully Brita support will come through for me. Edit (3 weeks later): Contacting Brita support went well, but it was annoying to deal with their forms with the information for my pitcher with the little information you get from the Amazon order. Their forms to get the process going are not Amazon order friendly. The names of the pitchers on their side are not the same as what it says here, so it took me 20 minutes to figure out and hope that I was telling them the right model that was in question for the warranty. They offered to ship me a replacement straight out. They said the replacement would fulfill the warranty, and any further issues with the replacement pitcher would not also be guaranteed to be covered. I haven't dealt with warrantys much before, but that didn't exactly make me feel good to read given that my first pitcher from them only made it 3 months. That being said, they did say that if anything happens to the replacement that I could reach out to them all the same. So they told me to wait up to 14 business days for the replacement. Today was about that much time. I emailed to ask for a status update, since tracking was not provided for the replacement. The way their reply was worded was a little confusing, but I get the impression that they may have or may not have attempted to send the replacement; the replacement pitcher model is now apparently out of stock (even though it is apparently quite purchaseable from Amazon as I type this); and now I will be sent a refund check (hopefully). If I do or do not manage to get that, I will edit this again to update. Regardless of the outcome, I'm leaning towards never buying a Brita pitcher again if I can stand it probably. Edit 2: It has been 7 business days since I was told I would receive a refund check by mail. There is no tracking available on this. I will reach out if I don't receive it within the 14 business days. As I type this, the same pitcher is still readily available to order through Amazon. I ended up finding out that while I was waiting 14 business days for my replacement pitcher to arrive originally, that apparently the fulfillment center cancelled the request for the pitcher to be sent to me all together because they claimed it was out of stock, and I received no notification of this (nor did they notify the agent who I had been working with, I think; or if they did, they didn't notify me either). The professionalism of the person I corresponded with at Brita seems to have been top notch and they claimed that they would be sharing details of this experience with their team. No amount of professionalism can make up for how bizarre this whole situation is though. I will update when I do or not get the check.
