If you enjoy making wirework jewelry and are looking for a new challenge then Mastering Wirework Jewelry is the perfect book for you . In this fabulous title by esteemed wireworker Rachel Norris you will find: 15 intricate and beautiful wirework jewelry projects to make. detailed step-by-step tips to follow fully comprehensive tools, materials and techniques sections to provide all the know-how you need Projects include: pendants, brooches and necklaces inspired by nature and animals. Review: Unique designs, a variety of techniques, and detailed instructions - My book arrived this morning, and I am very pleased. First off, this is a BIG book. For reference, I consider myself and experienced, intermediate level wire worker. Like most wire work books, this starts off with a sections addressing the tools used, and instructions on basic techniques. Jump rings, coils, coiled coils, spirals, wrapped loops and more. The meat of the book is the 15 designs. And trust me, it is meaty in a good way. Each of the 15 designs is broken down into small steps with photographs to show each step. The moth shown on the cover is illustrated in 77 written steps and a photo for each step. No worries about crowding on the page, the pictures are clear and the picture and instructions are large enough, and have enough space between each step. So if you follow pictures, or follow written instructions, or some of both, this book seems to cover the bases. Most of the designs are of an animals (owl, fish, dolphin, lion, gecko, elephant, moth, cat, horse, butterfly, seahorse) but there is also a daisy, leaves, and two styles of angles. Each incorporates wire and bead elements. In some it is a cabochon, in others stone beads, or pearls. There are a variety of techniques and materials used, so that each piece is unique. Some earthy (the owl), some ethereal (angels)...and a range in between. I think as a collective this book offers very specific directions to make each one, but it also offers the ability to learn the process to create your own designs, along with inspirations and ideas that can be adapted in other projects. For example, there is a wire woven cabochon with a butterfly and a lovely unique bail. I would use the instructions for the cab enclosure and bail, omit the butterfly in the middle, because I have a request from a friend for a dragonfly, which I would design myself (dragonfly not in the book), which would pair nicely with the cab and bail for the butterfly. And then make another, with no butterfly or dragonfly, just to show off a beautiful stone cabochon. At the end, are pages with templates for each of the designs. Now my only problem is, which one do I make first? Review: Love this book - I’m not a beginner by any means as I’ve worked with so many different types of wire and beads over the last 3 in a half decades and things are always moving and changing, so when I seen this book I thought I’d check it out and learn more techniques. This book explains so many different techniques and will help everyone learn and understand what tools, wires and other materials are used and how to use them. It’s not just a good starting point but also a great inspiration book for those of us who have a bit more callouss to our hands. Great job on all the pictures with step by step instruction and tutorials. This is well worth the money.

Absolutely Glorious Book -- Totally Worth the Price -- The Focus is the Wire!
I normally don't get any books that don't ship Amazon prime, or which aren't available on Kindle. And I definitely shy away from books that are $20+ (at the time I bought it). But oh boy -- am I ever glad I bought this book!!!! First -- it is big and it's heavy. And that is because it is filled with glorious projects with lots of photos and detailed steps. The photos themselves are clear and crisp. The focus is on the wirework, and doesn't require anything more than wire, a few basic tools, along with some cabochons and beads. The designs are all nature-inspired and very lovely. My favorite is probably the peacock, but the moth (cover photo) and the gecko are close runners up. Oh heck -- all the projects are great! And -- there are 15 projects total. This book is totally inspiring and totally worth the price. If you love wirework -- get it. If you're on the fence -- get it. Although I'd call the projects mostly intermediate to advanced, there are definitely some projects that a beginner could do. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. But, since I can only give 5 stars max, that's what I'll go with.

Beautiful book with amazing projects
As a beginner in the art of wire wrapping, I am so in awe of this book and the 15 gorgeous projects and tutorials this book covers. This book has 301 pages, so there is a LOT of information and steps covered, and all in color! The author starts with the basics such as making jump rings and coils, and then goes into shaping wire which leads in to the projects. I am especially thrilled that loose cabochons are also included in some of the project tutorials. I also like that the tutorials include some animals and insects. So happy to have found this book, I recommend this book to anyone who is serious about learning to wire wrap.

One of the best craft books you will ever get!
If you are interested in wire wrapping, whether beginner or advanced, you will WANT this book. Every design is wonderful and laid out in the kind of detail that I hope every other craft book would follow suit ; photos galore and clear thorough instructions. But as the title says, they are 15 INTRICATE designs to create. If you are a beginner looking for something easy peasy to start, get a second book (or watch lots of videos) along with this. But as a wire artist, these are the designs you will want to do, and the creation process is laid out so well that they are all achievable and will inspire your own designs. Out of all my craft books, this now my favorite!

You Need This Book
Even if you are an advanced wirework jewelry artist... you need this book. Seriously. If you are wavering on whether or not to order this book... DO IT! First of all, it is a lot bigger than I expected. After flipping through the pages I understood why. Rachel has put some incredible detail into the writing of this book. The photographs are clear, as are the written directions for each step of the 15 projects that this book includes. I have had this book in my possession for just over 24 hours, and I've already learned a few things about working with wire... and I've been at it for almost 20 years. For once, I don't feel like the publisher clamped down on the artist when it came to the detail in the steps in the creation of the projects, and for that I am grateful. I can't wait to tackle some of the projects... anything from the moth on the cover to a horse, a cat, and a lion!... and to learn how I can incorporate some of the awesome techniques into my own designs. Much respect to Rachel Norris for sharing these techniques with the world. What... you haven't ordered this book yet? Do it. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing detailed instructions & pictures for stunning works of art jewellery
If you are going to buy a book this is a MUST! Fantastic designs, Rachel has very comprehensive easily understood instructions including copious amounts of pictures that also goes along with the step by step instructions. Beginners to advance jewellery makers can make these designs. I would highly recommend you get Rachel's DVDs from her FB page or JewelleryMaker. You can also watch Rachel on YouTube....a must to see her other works of art. This is the best jewellery book EVER!
