The AST Labs Test Lead Kelvin Clip to 4-channel Banana Plug features 3-foot 18 AWG silicone wires with gold-plated 4 mm banana plugs and black/red Kelvin clips. Designed for high-precision measurements in automotive, aerospace, and telecom applications, these leads offer flexibility and corrosion resistance but are incompatible with shielded LCR meters like the DE-5000.

Nice leads and clips!!
Really nice, both the cables and clips. The problem I had with these while modding them for the DE-5000 is that there are no shields! I couldn't get them to pass the open calibration. After doing some research I found that shields are not needed. I decided to cut a foot off of all 4 cables from the meter end and resolder them to the DE-5000. This worked like a charm, calibrates with no problems now. These are extremely flexible cables and I put heat shrink every 6 inches on the red cables and the black cable, then used bigger heat shrink on all 4 wires. It really makes them less messy. These leads turn a great meter like the DE-5000 into an awesome meter!!

Excellent probes, probably going to buy another
These probes are great. I have been using them with my Fluke 8842A. I did have to use a knife to shave a little bit of the plastic off the outer surface of the probe plugs. They are too thick to fit into most CATIII sockets. I won't deduct any stars for this. The probes work really well and are small enough at the tip that they are useful for almost any general purpose probing, aside from using them for measuring at IC pins (especially SOIC or TSSOP). It is clear that these function well as kelvin probes. I can measure 0.1 and 0.01ohm resistors with these and am relatively confident in the result. The values don't jump around like they do with 2-lead probes.

Good Quality Kelvin Clips At A Fair Price
These test clips work exactly as described, so I am ultimately very happy with the purchase. Upon arrival, I did verify the claims made in the product description with ensuring that these are true 4-wire Kelvin clips being at the top of that list. Each half of the clip shows continuity to its respective wire and is electrically separated from the opposite side of the clip and its associated wire. That means true โHiโ and โLoโ readings across four total wires, thereby making certain types of testing far more accurate. I had purchased this product as they looked like they would pair nicely with my Siglent SDM3045X DMM and testing thus far seems very accurate. Unfortunately, although the Siglent SDM3045X is an outstanding DMM, it only comes with a very basic set of OEM test probes. I had previously started using the EEVblog/Brymen BL21S2-T4SC Gold Plated Silicone Test Probes for general use with the Siglent SDM3045X, and also found a very nice aftermarket pair of ultra-sharp gold-plated probes for specifically testing microelectronics. That only left me with needing to find a decent quality set of Kelvin clips, and these definitely seem like a winner. Just remember that โฮฉ4Wโ mode on a DMM such as my Siglent SDM3045X will work best for checking low resistances. In theory you should be able to get within 0.01ฮฉ on the lowest setting. Additionally, youโll really want to use a dedicated LCR meter, e.g. DER EE DE-5000, when checking capacitors for ESR values, but I had found the 4-wire resistance mode to be a very good indicator on my Siglent SDM3045X. As is good practice, not to mention common sense, you will want to start with a discharged capacitor. When checking capacitors using โฮฉ4Wโ mode, youโll see the resistance begin to increase until it plateaus, which is secondary to the capacitor charging. To put it all together, I recently had a large capacitor go bad on a bench power supply and my DE-5000 was returning an 8.24ฮฉ ESR along with a capacitance that wasnโt even close to what was expected. Interestingly enough, I was able to compare this on my Siglent SDM3045X and aside from showing me a high ESR, the value was shown in the blink of an eye, meaning that the capacitor was indeed no longer charging (and that also explained the unusually low capacitance value). I believe that these Kelvin clips proved effective here because such low resistance readings are expected with working capacitors (generally far south of 1ฮฉ). So, all said, these clips work well and appear to be built well. They seem versatile enough and were most definitely compatible with my Siglent SDM3045X DMM, but remember that the manufacturer provides specs for a reason and these will work great if your meter requires a 4mm banana plug for connectivity. They wonโt work if your meter needs a proprietary plug or a different size connector, and they wonโt work with meters that require a shield wire (like my DE-5000, which actually requires a separate type of connector altogether)! As long as your meter requires 4-wire 4mm banana plugs, which is fairly standard, these clips have thus far proven to be both a durable and reliable solution that I would absolutely recommend!

4 wire measurement
Quickly received and worked well. seem to be of reasonable quality. Would buy again

These Work Well But Need Some Tweaking
Bought these for doing 4-wire Ohms with multiple Fluke 884X-series DMMs. All four of the banana plugs were very difficult to insert into the jacks on all of the meters. From the scuff marks on the shrouds it appears the outside diameter of the middle third of the shrouds is slightly too large and causes binding. Cutting back the shrouds to half their original length eliminated enough of the binding to make the leads usable. Other than this mechanical issue, they work fine and are well worth the money. Note: there was no binding when these were used with Fluke 115/117 DMMs. YMMV with other equipment.

Good product
Little pricey, but these Kelvin clips are VERY well made. I have an older set of Kelvin clips from someone else that are not nearly as good.

Works great with Rigol DM3068
Not only do they work well, the build quality is pretty nice. They kind of looked crappy to me in the photos but they're nice to work with. Good clamping force, yet very thin tip allowing you to connect to smaller things than you'd expect. What a bargain! That's a bargain for me. I think I will buy some.
