I have a couple these in all my cars. The magnet is very strong. Phone never falls off. Maybe not the best method, but they work dependably with just a metal button on my phone case.

I like how this is so quick and simple to push into the vent and magnet is strong to hold the phone. And that it's small so not blocking the vent much and quick and easy to remove if you want it off the vent.

I got this for my Wrangler Jk as it was filtered to fit my jeep. As you may know, Wrangler air vents aren't the same as most cars. The mount does not hold very well on the vent with the phone on it, it slides up and down from the weight of the phone. The magnet is ok. Not too strong if you put the metal in the case instead of outside. I have a super thin case and it didn't hold too well.

My Google Pixel 8 phone is a brick, and with the protective case it's even heavier. The magnets are very strong, the phone has never dislodged accidentally.
