Nice punch
This little punch works great. Cuts smooth doesnโt stick at all. Love the fact that it locks up for storage.

added to my collection
Started seeing junk journaling all over the place and now i can't stop finding things to make the punch stamps from. I don't do the normal junk journal, just my own personal journal with some stamps representing the day. Mood or places i've been. Some just a cool image i want to save. this is a chunky punch that i know will hold up. seems very well made. so far haven't found anything it won't punch through.

Easy to use and cuts well!
Cuts through paper and card stock packaging really well! Super cute way to add ephemera to my journals!

INSANE. Phenomenal. HEAVY.
If these folks made these in all the sizes I want, 1 5/8 HINT HINT I would buy it. I think for anything NOT metal, like felt, you'll get a LOT of cuts! The cutter is made from Aluminum, but it cut 28 gauge copper foil ( perhaps 24? not sure ) like BUTTER. SMOOTH EDGES. for the price ($9.95 ), BUY THIS NOW before they come to their senses!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE to see this with a steel cutter. MORE sizes, like 1 & 5/8 ( or 41 mm ) if i REMEMBER, HA, i'LL UPDATE THIS AFTER 100 CUTS IN 28 GAUGE COPPER SHEET. I'll likely forget, but...

Not bad, but doesn't cut cleanly and dulls easily
So this oval punch is reasonably priced and for the most part does what it's supposed to. But using this to cut out printed stickers for name badges revealed a few flaws. First, the blades dull shockingly quickly. After only a dozen or so cuts, the edges were consistently more jagged and several tore or jammed. I found I had to slam the thing shut in one hard quick motion to get good cuts, making the cutting action unreasonably loud. Second, even when perfectly sharp, the cut isn't clean. The corners have raggedy edges, making the oval look more like a football than a smooth ellipse. Finally, if you have to line your cut up (for example around a printed name), it's very difficult to do so. You'll have to use the cutter upside down (exposing the rough underside to your pressing hand), and having enough clearance from the edge was challenging - it seems to be an arbitrary distance between the top edge of the cutter and the punch backstop, and there's no adjustability. On the bright side, the very securely made close-lock was very secure, to the point where I had some trouble figuring out how to open it at first. And the price is very reasonable. I just wish the blade quality was a bit better.
