I do see some snakes popped up once in a while in my backyard so this is something I am looking for just in case. I was a little wary about the fitting of gloves in the beginning since it has only one "medium" size available but it fits me nicely, I am 5'8" with average hand size. The quality of the gloves is pretty good for home use but the hook is on the lighter duty side which is a little flimsy when extended fully. The hook is good for small snakes but I would still use long wooden sticks for bigger snakes if I see one.

Bought for my husband to play with our orange flavored menace. They are thick and durable enough to keep little kitty needle teeth from puncturing his hands and arms, and long enough that the stubentiger can't sharpen his claws in our flesh. 10 out of 10.

Both items feel very durable! Excited to try them out! They fit snug so if you have big upper arms you should go with something else. Great value for the amount of money it is. I was skeptical about the hook being “cheap” and easily broken - however I was completely wrong! The hook is very durable and wide enough for my two snakes! Would definitely buy again!

The gloves fit perfectly, they are made of great quality material which is definitely bite proof and as well helps with claws. They protected the user from the feral cat's attacks. The cat's bites and scratches could not go through the gloves. When they bite I don’t feel it just slight pressure from the bite. Makes handling them so much easier. The snake hook is easy to extend, lightweight, and easy to store. Works great for smaller snakes, I keep it for possible snakes in the yard, all in all, I got two useful things at this price, very good value.

Heavy duty. I dont think any critter out there is penetrating these.

The gloves are great work well for my iguanas would not trust them in taking a bite from a gaboon viper. They work great for my purposes of handling lizards with sharp claws. Snake hook is garbage.

I Liked the protection the gloves provided. They are fairly stiff. My hands can’t really grasp any of my ball pythons, but I would recommend the gloves. However The hook is very flimsy. It’s not as sturdy as I had thought it was going to be.

I got these for my Red Tail Boa, as he's gotten a bit of an attitude as he's grown. The hook is nice and light, and had no rough/jagged spots in the finish, which is great, because one small defect could injure your pet. It worked just fine, and he took to it quite well. The Gloves do their job of absorbing the bite, at least from a 4ft male Boa. They are kind of cumbersome in the palm/finger areas, but it's to be expected with the thickness of them. Once you wear them and flex your hand in them enough, they loosen up enough to be workable. Having these makes life so much easier when you're either skittish around snakes, or know to expect a strike. They go all the way up the forearm and above the elbow, so no worries about getting caught unprepared. They do the job they were made for, and seem to be holding up quite well.

The product arrived earlier than promised :). Gloves appear to be of great qualityvin material, stitching and thickness of leather. I havent experienced a bite with them, but they definitely appear that they would withstand and protect me especially since my snakes are smaller species. While being heavy duty enough to withstand a bite, I feel, they aren't so thick as to overly hinder movement and therefore still allows relative ease in handling the hook, snake, latches, etc. If you have larger hands though, the gloves may be fairly snug or too small. For this I am actually greatful as I was worried they were going to be huge on me as most one size fits none usually is. They are still big on me but definitely still very functional. For me, they are loose but mainly fingers are too long Also, they go up to almost my armpits, so I am about as protected as I could be. To put into perspective, I am about 5'2" and 120lbs. Being leather though, if they are snug, it may be possible to stretch them just by wearing them for a while, or to stretch them more or quicker by soaking in luke warm water and then either wearing them to stretch them out or use a glove stretcher. (Google has some good info on stretching leather gloves/shoes etc.). They have a soft liner that makes them comfortable to wear. The hook definitely wouldn't be suitable for larger snakes, as I feel the weight of the snake would bend/break it, but I knew that before ordering. The snake I ordered it for is a feisty but small guy. I like that the hook is telescopic for easy storage.

Creo está bien para usarlo en ciertas cosas, en mi caso yo los compré para manipular ciertas serpientes venenosas ( ya que trabajo con eso) y definitivamente para ese uso no los recomiendo el material se siente muy sencillo apesar de que en las fotos y indicaciones te dice que si, en cuanto al gancho creo es útil con serpientes muy pequeñas

Es un Buen producto los guantes son gruesos para buena protección y aún así muy manejables, el gancho es extensible lo q permite guardarlo en elápidos pequeños y ajustarlo a la medida necesaria de la persona
