VIPRE Internet Security 2014 1 PC - Lifetime [Old Version]

I have used this anti-virus software on 2 computers now and have nothing but praise for Vipre Lifetime. Interface is easy to use and I have never had any issues with conflicts with other software packages. My last laptop lasted for 5 years, so after the 2 year mark the software paid for itself. Jut be aware that "lifetime" means the life of the computer it's installed on, not your lifetime. Overall, great product, would purchase again without hesitation.

I like the fact that the software is good for the lifetime of the computer. No more annual purchases of security software. Auto updates and unmatched reliability. You can't go wrong with Vipre!

I seldom write reviews and never bad ones, but be warned this does not install. You go to the web site click download, save & run and nothing happens, I mean nothing! The on-line support does not respond. After an hour , and 6 attempts to install) I decided to get my money back, if it's this hard to install and the support does not exist, then I doubt any of it's claims.

Horrible tech support: Do you like holding on for over 48 minutes every time you must call tech support ? Do you enjoy trying to resolve your problem by sending a dozen emails back and forth because the company will not phone you to take remote control of your computer, or talk you through the steps required to (maybe) solve your problem ? Well, if you do, you have found the "prefect" company ! Also, the software slowed down all my searches on the internet..McAfee is awful, a waste of money, and a company with inept/ horrendous tech support. This company rates 1 star above McAfee in my opinion. Research ratings for other anti-virus software, and take a pass on this one.

i did some comparison shopping and even asked co-workers opinions of what would be a good choice of anti virus software. After doing this, I decided to give Vipre a try. I am not disappointed. It works well, and doesn't slow my computer down the way norton did. I have to see if this continues in the future. That's why I say so far, so good.

I have used Norton and before that Kaspersky antivirus suites. Both of which are good but for me have been clunky and occasionally disruptive by how much cpu and memory space they consumed. Norton occasionally would stop working in its entirety and would have to be reloaded. This year the Norton renewal cost for one more year was the same as life time renewals for Vipre. Depending upon what site you see ratings, it is usually a bit lower than either of the other ones I have used; however, so far I have not no infections, crashes, or other problems because I am using Vipre. I use a lot of memory cards transferring photos and videos, and it always asks if I want to scan the new disc. On occasion it says it thinks it found something and wants to do a full scan. These scans are in the background and do not seem to impact the operation of the computer. I had one issue which was solved by calling customer service. I gave this four stats as no antivirus program catches everything. I my case I run Malware Bytes once a month, but rarely find anything other than pups (there is an argument as to whether these are malware). So I assume Vipre is doing its job.

Vipre is a great security guard for your computer. They send you newsletters that give you many tips on the latest scams, viruses and other dangers to help you protect yourself on the internet. I purchased this one for a lifetime, so I don't have to renew every year.
