The pictures show 85v - 250v input in text. however, the pcb had 85 - 220v printed on it. is it ok to connect uk 240v to power it?

many equipment is made for use in many countries where the voltage varies from 220 to 240 volts. I used this remote control for my garage light in the UK without any problems.

can u confirm if i press one button one time, the door will close and press another button one time, door open? don't have to press and hold button?

Correct - but that's done by the door mechanism on my garage. On this remote, the relay only closes WHILR the button is pressed. (They all work like this - there is no way for the remote to know when the door is shut! That's always part of the door mechanism.)
