Elemental Phonics: Level 2: Easy Phonics Lessons to Learn to Read

This book helped my younger son get a head start before kindergarten. When he got to school many words were already very familiar to him. He aced kindergarten. Easy books for parents to work with their kids from home.

Best set of books to introduce your kids to reading. All of Jady's supplements are top notch. Glad I came across her videos on Youtube, they have helped my child immensely! Great phonics book, the first one was great as well. Can't wait to move to the next one with my son. Would definitely recommend.

Only thing that helped my kids with blending.

Started with book one and we are now on book two. My son is reading!!! I searched high and low for an easy to follow, no prep reading material that actually works. THIS. IS. IT!!!

Both my twins completed book one and have eased into this book. They will be done with it at the end of July. Then, I will order them BOB books to read independently to us and on their own... because they will be more than capable. They will be well equipped and ready for kindergarten. I’m even convinced they will be ahead of many. 10 minutes a day is all you need. Nothing fancy. It gets the job done well.

My daughter has learned to read with this book.

Pretty much have all the preschool workbooks. My daughter is going to have to take these lessons slow to really learn each one but we have the phonetic reader level 1 and other workbooks to supplement with this one. My daughter has started working on four letter words so this book is going to be perfect for her. This workbook is shorter than the others. I wish there was a review every couple pages with a mix of the blends or digraphs to allow for extra practice. Will definitely be purchasing the level 3 when my daughter is through with this workbook.

I purchased and used Elemental Phonics Book 1 to teach my 3-year-old how to read, and it worked very well. He learned his letter sounds easily, and the layout of the first book—focusing on phonics and blending sounds into words—was clear and effective. This book, however, feels a bit more confusing. I wish it included more simple sentences for practice and built more clearly on the concepts introduced on previous pages. While it still has value, it wasn’t as intuitive or easy to use as the first book for a young learner. I ended up switching to another program.

My child completed this book and likes to read the bob books as an extra to strengthen reading. Very simple and straight forward phonics lessons and not overstimulating like other phonics books.
