NOW Foods Supplements, Optimal Digestive System, Full Spectrum Enzymes, 90 Veg Capsules

I was recently released from the hospital after a severe gallbladder attack that left me nearly incapacitated for days. I chose not to have my gallbladder removed until I had time to research alternatives; however, I was terrified to actually eat anything since just about EVERYTHING causes a flare up. I decided that if I didn't want my gallbladder to get angry I should probably help my digestion out as much as possible, so I purchased the most expensive and best-rated digestive aid I could find. It worked pretty well but I was running low and my Amazon subscription wouldn't arrive for about a week. I didn't want to go without or to pay so much for my regular product without my 20% discount so I bought this. It seemed extremely inexpensive and, with all the good reviews, I thought I should give it a try. One thing I should mention...it isn't as inexpensive as it may appear at first because the serving size is two capsules; therefore, there are only 45 servings per 90ct bottle. It also has less enzymes and less of each enzyme than my normal aid. That being stated, it is by far much better than my other brand. I was tentative to try it at first so I started off slow (with the food, not the supplement). I gradually increased the amount of food and the the variety as the days passed. I found that I could eat the same things as I was before but without any discomfort at all! No gas, bloating, nausea, migraines, etc...non of the "s***ty" symptoms of an attack. I still limit my fat intake and take Betaine when eating any meat but this is a gem! I don't know how or why it works better. It just goes to show you that labeling is not 100% proof of effectiveness.

Helps very well with after meal digestion.

I have IBS and these help with certain foods beans being the worst and onions. They are not 100% but soften the gas and bloating from many foods. Also they seem to work better if you use them daily.

I have chronic relapsing pancreatitis and for years was suffering with its symptoms: NVD, nasty abdominal cramps and when I'd have a relapse, it put me down and out for ~24 hours. I was having to be very careful with what I ate and when - and even then, would still relapse every few weeks. Then I decided that maybe my digestive system could use some help with breaking down food and that my pancreas wasn't producing enough enzymes or the right mix of them. At first I tried Pancreatin type products, which are essentially ground up & dried pork pancreas. This did help, but I would stlll have symptoms on occasion. Enter these wonderful little capsules: since I began using them [2 with every meal], I have been symptom free and able to pretty much eat whatever I want and whenever I want. I even make sure to keep a small packet of them in my pocket everywhere I go, in case I'm somewhere a meal might be happening. These enzymes have greatly improved the quality of my life and hope they never stop making them or I'll be lost. I like the fact they are vegetable sourced and very affordable, since I take them daily.

I don’t necessarily think it’s the fault of the product but these definitely make me feel sick. I’m chronically ill and have a lot of digestive issues and was hoping adding in enzymes would help but these make me insanely nauseous

I have esophagitis and was taking 6 digestive aids with each meal [expensive ones] and achieving limited success. Being a fan of NOW and trying to find something that worked along side my changes in eating habits to lessen the impact, I looked for a vegan option [I am a vegan] and found this. I cannot tell you the quick and amazing difference this has made in my life. 2 tiny capsules with each meal and the improvement is big time. I would suggest if you have a serious condition that you check with your doctor before taking anything in addition to prescribed medication. I was not taking a perception so I tried it on my own. I am grateful to NOW for the quality and scope of their supplements I also use NOW supplements to naturally control hypothyroidism. Quality I can trust and value I appreciate. {They have great essential oils etc. too} Thanks NOW!

I drink these anytime I eat beans, cruciferous veggies or something that could potentially upset my stomach. I also take them with my other vitamins when I have dinner. They not only help digest my meals but they also promote vitamin absorption. These truly work. I’ve tried taking them before, during and after meals and the best method for me is taking them after meals. I find that if I take them before meals I still get a little bloated and gassy from beans. I don’t know how I’ve gone my whole life without taking digestive enzymes (especially as a Mexican who eats beans a few times a week). I’ll be purchasing my second bottle now.

OK product not much effective

Its may be worked for others but in my case having deficiency of pancreatic enzymes it dznt worked a bit still bloating has there no ease in digestion. Waste of money, gastric problem increased
