I actually don't use this in a chair. Instead, I lay in on the floor on the carpet next to the sofa, then I lay down on it, and put my feet/legs up on the sofa and turn it on. The weight of my body laying down on my back on top of the massager really helps get a deep massage, it's really good! I highly recommend.

HomeMedics Shiatu Back Massager: It's very easy to use straight out of the box, after removing the stabiliser screw at the back of the massager. It gives a firm massage, which may feel too much for some, but can be modified by placing a towel over the 'massage roller' section. It gives a really good massage, relieving back pain and muscle tightness very quickly. Although having tight muscles massaged can be a bit painful at first, it has been so worth using it. After just two massages, my back pain had reduced significantly. The massage rollers reach from base of spine to top of shoulders in someone who's 5' 8" (180cm). The heat from it is warming but not too hot. There is some operating noise, but not unpleasant/too much. It's worth the money and does a really good job.

Brilliant with massage, still works perfect, helps me to relax after a long day at work.

Really good quality product, it feels like getting a firm shiatsu massage and the heat function is fantastic. I’m 5’2 and it covers my whole back/neck and shoulders. It might not be as good if you’re a few inches taller. My only complaint Is that you can’t turn on the heat unless the massage function is in use but I imagine this is for safety reasons. Great value and well worth the money. Helps with aches and pain due to sitting more than usual. Been so good to have this while unable to get massage because of lockdown and it’ll probably even lessen my need for chiropractor visits.
