Tiptree Lemon Curd, 11 Ounce Jar (312g)

This lemon curd arrived securely packaged in a small cardboard box with no issues during shipping. I used it on top of German pancakes (Dutch baby style), and it added the perfect sweet and tart flavor. The consistency was smooth and spread easily, making it simple to scoop right out of the jar. Paired with some blueberries, it made a very simple recipe look and taste like it came from a high quality restaurant! The flavor is well-balanced—not overly sweet, with just the right amount of tang—which made it a great complement to the dish without overpowering it. Overall, this is a high-quality lemon curd that works well for both breakfast and desserts. I will never order a different brand!

So good! I made lemon curd phyllo cups for a holiday dinner dessert and this curd was the perfect combo of lemony and sweet and tart, all at the same time. The color is not a very bright yellow, but it was pretty in the cups topped with a little blueberry and raspberry. (I had ordered a different brand at the same time that was brighter in color, but used this one due the flavor being so amazing.) The texture is creamy and mouth feel is buttery and smooth. Will 100% purchase this again.

This lemon curd has such a tangy lemon taste and is great on ice cream and other desserts. It's even great mixed with peanut butter for a tangy pb & j sandwich. If you like citrusy sweets, this lemon curd is awesome.

UPDATE: Changing from 3 stars to 5 stars because I found a great use for this with its high sweetness!.... Mix one 11 oz jar Tiptree Lemon Curd with two smoothly melted 8 oz bricks of cream cheese (16 oz cream cheese total) and pour into 4 to 6 parfait cups (based on size preference) with graham cracker crust (1/1 ratio graham crumb/sugar combined with a bit of melted butter to your ideal consistency) added into bottom of cups (and in a mid layer if desired) for an amazing no bake lemon cheesecake parfait! (Optional: when mixing filling, add some fresh lemon zest and/or fresh lemon juice to punch up the tartness to your own taste preference!) Consistency of dessert after refrigerated will be thick like pudding. Enjoy!!! PREVIOUS: Very sweet! Needs more tartness imo. Some lemon zest would be a welcome addition, as it is not as strong of lemon flavor as I was hoping. It's more almost like a lemon/vanilla mingled thing going on due to the sugar getting in the way. Bring down the sugar, punch up the lemon. Then it would be a clear winner. Seems lemon stuff is always lacking and honestly wondering what has happened to lemon recipes or perhaps lemons themselves in the past decade to cause such disappointment. Too much sugar in our culture!!!!! (Just like chinese food general tsos in America is never spicy anymore! Enough with the excessive sweetness in everything!!!!)

We wanted to try the lemon curd. It’s very good. Delicious even. Like another reviewer mentioned, it’s a tad too sweet. I would have preferred a less sweet, more tart version. That said, it’s still really good and you have to taste it for yourself as everyone’s taste is different. It’s worth buying. My husband agrees also with this. If you want a sweet treat have this with a biscuit.

It is not always easy to find a great tasting lemon curd & has great consistency. Great to spread on a freshly toasted bagel. Yummy tasting, control needed to not sit down with a spoon & just dig in for extra little tastes..

I’m afraid that my jar is empty. Not that it arrived empty, I just used this all up within a week! 🐷 I made a custard with this curd and I added some to a lemon meringue pie. I have never had a lemon curd from a jar that was this delicious. Perfectly tart with a strong fresh lemon flavour. I have no complaints whatsoever. I read a few reviews and they didn’t let me down; I’ll be purchasing this often.
