I needed a cost-effective way to add closet doors to a bedroom in a home we are preparing to list for sale. The original doors were clumsy and heavy, so we removed them years ago. This room-wide spring tension rod was the perfect solution at a very reasonable price - sturdy and easy to install. I am 73 and I was able to install it by myself (experienced DIYer). The tension was simple to adjust, ensuring that the rod will stay securely in place no matter how those 96" panels are tugged open and closed. The panels will be altered later an inch or two so they just skim the floor. I could not be happier with this spring rod. BTW, this is RENTER FRIENDLY!

This is a heavy duty tension rod, which lives up to the stated dimensions and use promises. Gave it 4 stars because the rubber end cover came off when I took it down after a few days up with a heavy curtain hung on it. The rubber end cap was easy to put back on, but still, I felt it should be attached, not easily removed for this item. I would definitely recommend this tension rod for its good looks, heavy duty ability to hold and ease of setup.

This was perfect! We first purchased a heavy duty tension rod from another provider and the dimensions were complete incorrect from what was advertised on their website. I also noticed that these two competitors have the same products but Amazon was for half the price so when looking at this particular curtain rod I decided this time to go with Amazon. The delivery was relatively quick (2-3 days) and was exactly as advertised. The black was true black and came with three rods: The rod with the spring, small, and large. I purchased three rods to fit my bedroom windows (81 inches length) and for the living room (113 inches length). The rod was easy to assemble in terms of placing the rods together, but I would definitely recommend having a second person to help install depending on the height. We installed the rods on 8ft 9inch walls. It was simple to tighten and loosen the rods to the walls for securing or readjusting. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was a loud pop when tightening the rods to a certain point. It scared us at first, but after we confirmed no damage was done to the dry wall or the rod itself, we assumed that’s the noise it makes when it’s ’locked in’. I would highly recommend it. The three purchased was 1 for the bedroom and 2 for the living room. The living room was used 1 layer for sheer curtains and the other layer for black out curtains. I would highly recommend it.

I got this for my floor length living room curtains. The other rod I had was not strong enough to hold up the curtains. This rod is great, good heavy duty quality. And strong enough to hold up the floor length curtains. My reason for 4 stars is because my curtains get caught on the backside of the rod. Not a functional problem just a nuisance.

I purchased this to hang some Christmas decorations across a doorway and it is excellent. It’s almost fully extended and it can hold fake pine garland with no bend in the rod. It is very easy to put together and take down and it did not damage the walls!!

Easy to install, for the panels we hung we did not require any center bracing and no sag in the middle after 3 month.

After having this curtain rod for 4 months, I can safely say these are a good buy. Very sturdy for an extra long curtain rod. I have a heavy set of blackout curtains and these don’t bow at all. Great solution for rentals that don’t allow drilling. Just make sure your curtain loops will fit, as it is a bit wider than the average curtain rod. Also, it requires two people to assemble the larger curtain rod, so plan for that.

Happy they can hold the heavy curtains. Installation. Was kinda hard and left marks on my wall This width is 113 and the middle sags a little bit
