I have some lights which I want to be able to use with batteries so I can use them outdoors or on location where there is no power. These NPF970 batteries are excellent value, they aren't the cheapest but they're also not the most expensive and I've read lots of positive articles about PowerExtra batteries and my experience mirrors that. I ran an Amaran 60D (LED COB) and an Amaran P60X (LED Panel) both at 80% brightness at 5600K and each light was powered constantly for over an hour before the battery discharged. (the 60D ran for 1hr 15 minutes, the P60X ran for 1 hr 24 minutes). These are quite power hungry lights so this is pretty impressive, I've known others use smaller batteries and not even get 30 minutes of power! The batteries take a while to charge (all 4 batteries in the charger takes about 8 -10 hours), the charger got very warm but more so than any other I've used and as soon as the batteries were charged it went cold. The charger has an LCD screen which shows the charging status of the batteries and it feels well built. These are large batteries but there's no way of getting around that, NPF970 batteries are indeed big batteries! These feel well constructed, they don't seem to get hot and they fit well on the charger and into the battery plates of my lights. I have no complaints at all and will definitely getting more PowerExtra batteries in future. The batteries come in 2 boxes of 2, I would recommend keeping the boxes as the batteries fit into them snuggly and it make it easy to carry them around in your kit bag.

Great set of batteries. And fast charger, all batteries 🔋 charge at the same time quite quickly too. Will grab another set of 4 for my lights. Great value for money

This appears, at first site, to be a nice bit of kit. Purchased with the batteries, it’s a very good deal. The only issue I’ve had it that the Expro batteries I have already got, don’t fit too well. The unit will charge them but I have to prop-up the charger, in such a way so that the weight of the battery holds it down on to the contacts. If you are using the supplied batteries, it’s perfect.

These batteries are NOWHERE NEAR 8800mAH. They are not even close to this stated capacity. This is a completely false statement and total misrepresentation of the product description. These exhibit approximately the same runtime as a standard NP-970 of approximately 6600Mah. So......WHY overstate the capacity? Why Straight up LIE?

Used it a few times and already the battery pins have disappeared inside the body making it useless. So now I’m looking for something more reliable and up to the job. Don’t waste your money.
