Is everything reusable or is it one and done?

Once you fine crush those orbeez they are going to remain that way. Everything is reusable. Even the fine crushed orbeez if stored correctly.(similar to play doh)

If you make the food, can you preserve what you made by letting it dry out?

Yes you have to let them dry out if not it will create mold. You can add a pinch of salt, it will help in the dehydration process.

For the refill beeds, does it have to be the same brand- Orbeez?

I don’t think it matters. The magic chef set didn’t work with the orbeez beads and just made a big mess. So disappointing. Commercials were very misleading based on our experience.

Is this set a mess to play with?!

The set just did not work for us. It was a mess and no good outcome. Very disappointing. Not worth it.
