Neat - King Bee II Wired Microphone - Black/Microphone

I was browsing 1 day when I came across this mic heavily discounted & made an impulse buy. I do not regret it, especially for the price I snagged it at (Insane BTW) which represents amazing value for money. I think it looks amazing with the included proprietary shock mount. The construction is sturdy. In fact a little too sturdy. I wanted to do a mod to the grill to adjust the plosives & sibilence but struggled to get the cover removed. Set up was incredibly easy as it's mount to the stand & plug in an XLR & off you trot. Many users (A lot more than you would expect) online reported excessive noise issues with the mic which I am delighted to say I did not experience & the noise was inline with what was advertised. Being a condenser, it is sensitive & picks up any surrounding noise. If you can get at a highly discounted price then ump at it. If it is MSRP then do research and know you are gambling on that widely reported noise issue.

These are good quality. Sound great. It is a no brainer at this price. I purchased two of them. Well built. Need a good stand to hold them. As they are heavy. Remember they need 48v Phantom power to use them. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks everyone. Amazon you guys have amazing deals.

Mine Makes So Much Electrical Noice and it gets into the Recording which is a shame because it has an Amazing Sound ESPECIALLY for the Price!

an excellent microphone albeit very heavy

Purchased a few months ago for vocals,it's proved to be the best mic i've owned in 25 yrs and can't imagine anything coming close at the current and ridiculous price of around £35-40. Build quality is great and very heavy,but as mentioned by others,you need a heavy duty boom/arm capable of taking the weight. I would describe the sound as beautifully smooth and neutral,it work perfectly with my voice,full sounding lows,but not dull or muddy in any way,and very clean,controlled highs,not a hint of harshness. It's not quite as bright as my other mics from Rode,EV,AKG etc,which is not a bad thing,but may need a little eq for some applications. These and the previous version originally sold for around £250 when released and would say they were worth it,that's how impressed i am with this mic and given the build quality,should last a lifetime. At the current price,they are THE bargain of the decade,because they must have cost far more than this to produce. There are lots of reviews on Youtube,some compare them with 5-10 other mics,so well worth taking a look. Personally,this is the one for me,i think it would take a very expensive mic to beat this one and can see myself using it for a very long time.

A surprisingly good condenser microphone despite its quirky looks. I bought mine because it was under £50, which is an absolute bargain. No mains hum on mine. It is very heavy and requires a solid stand or boom arm.

I bought this sold and dispatched by Amazon for £35, and for that price it's a no-brainer. Paired with a decent interface it's a solid mic (mine is connected to a Focusrite Vocaster One), though a little on the big and heavy side. Personally I like the odd look of it, though it won't be to everyones taste. I'd say it's worth up to around £70-80, anything more than that are there are better options.

The microphone itself is great! Solid build with amazing quality and great sound. It is very heavy so cheap microphone arms will not do the right job. The microphone requires a decent audio interface to get the right amount of power, however the quality control of these microphones is not the best. I was unlucky to receive one that had some random static sound and later it developed some sort of buzzing noise. Overall is a great quality of you are willing to take the risk. Id you get lucky to receive a good product without the issues mentioned, this microphone might be one of the best under £200 condenser microphone.

Un micrófono de condensador grande que da un sonido rico en matices, detallado y profundo. Pilla unas voces brutales pero necesitarás un pie/brazo preparado para micrófonos pesados.

Que dire, le micro répond complètement à mes attentes, Le son capturer est nickel ( avec une alimentation 48V évidement ). la distance de capture est bonne et me permet de ne pas être collé à mon micro, le filtre anti-pop intégré fait son taff sans être extraordinaire non plus, le seul point a faire attention, c'est son poids ( +/- 1kg ) Bref comparé à mon ancien micro ( Micro à 15€ chez action ), la qualité est parfaite pour moi

Je l'ai acheté neuf à 49 euros en promo Amazon sachant qu'il est sorti à 169 euros il y a deux ans. Il me servira de micro de secours au cas où mon Lewitt 440 à 289 euros ferait des siennes. Pour le prix, il est excellent. Bien que moins ciselé dans les haut mediums que le Lewitt, il gagne en galbe et en rondeur dans les bas mediums et les basses, voire un peu trop si on colle le micro. Capsule ultra large oblige. Mais du coup il est parfait pour les voice-overs et autre utilisation en podcast. En chant, il est bon aussi mais il faudra un poil égaliser, couper un peu de graves et remonter les haut médiums. Mais là où j'ai été bluffé, c'est le niveau de bruit... Ce micro a un fonctionnement ultra silencieux. Je ne sais pas où le gars qui a eu un problème de ronflette a acheté son câble ou sa prise de courant pour son interface audio mais branché convenablement avec un bon câble, il est époustouflant de silence. Bref à 49 euros, ne vous posez même pas la question, il faut débourser 4 fois plus pour avoir un compétiteur digne de ce nom. Un bémol tout de même, il est encombrant et pèse son poids plus d'un kilo là ou le Lewitt affiche un frugal 500 grammes. A prendre en compte car les bras articulés ont souvent une limite de 1 kilo voire 1kilo et demi. Difficile de rajouter un caisson d'isolation qui pèse déjà un bon demi kilo.

Zu dem von mir bezahlten Preis von unter 90 Euro unschlagbar, sehr geringes Eigenrauschen dabei aber gleichzeitig sehr gutes und starkes Ausgangssignal, eventuell für manche sogar zu hot. Es ist in allen belangen ein Panzer, auch vom Gewicht ( 1,xx KG ) Pegelfest ist es auch noch dazu bzw. im Endeffekt bringt man je nach Settings die meisten Interfaces eher zum clippen, bevor das Mikrofon in den Grenzbereich kommt, also so laut muss man auch mal reden oder schreien können, defacto auch für laute oder Dinge mit einer hohen Dynamic zum aufnehmen geeignet. Der Sound oder eher die Signatur ist auch schon sehr sehr gut, da braucht man nicht mehr viel machen damit es im Podcast, Stream oder der Aufname etc. gut ankommt. Wenn man dort je nach Sibilantenanteil der Stimme einen De-Esser ( also nicht unbedingt notwendig ), einen Guten Kompressor und ein Gate nutzt wird es schon absurd wie gut es herüberkommt, das gute nebenbei ist, dass einige neueren Interfaces sogar schon brauchbare Kompressoren - Anticlipping ( Clippguard ), Autogain, EQ - etc.schnicknack.pp mit an Board haben, was dann eine brutale Kombination darstellt. Es gibt vielleicht 2 Dinge zu beachten, erstens im Punkt Plosiven, da sollte man schon etwas aufpassen, da das Mikrofon da etwas empfindlich sein kann. Empfehlen kann ich dahingehend, eher das Mikrofon von der Seite zu besprechen insofern man eine explosive Aussprache hat, also nicht direkt von vorne rein. Alternativ kann hinter den vorhandenen Poppschutz noch mal etwas als Schutz zwischengeklemmt werden, Platz ist dort genug da, man wird es dann nicht sehen, es muss nichts groß herum oder kaputt gebastelt werden und der Ton wird je nach genutztem Material auch nur geringfügig beeinflußt. Die 2e Sache kann für manche Person die Abstinenz eines Padswitch oder ein nicht vorhandener Highpass sein insofern direkt am Mikrofon gebraucht, die meisten werden es aber nicht brauchen. Ich kann es aber trotzdem nur deutlich sagen, für den Preis bekommt man Qualität die man lange suchen muss, kauf so lange es noch zu bekommen ist, vor allem bei unter 150 Euro!, ( das Mikrofon sollte ursprünglich tatsächlich auch deutlich teurer sein, mit ein bißchen Recherche wird man aber alles dahingehend und zur Historie finden und es verstehen ), es gibt zudem sehr sehr viele Videos dazu, wer dem englisch mächtig ist sollte sich zum Beispiel auch mal Podcastage anschauen um einen Eindruck zu bekommen. Wie man es schon herauslesen kann gebe ich eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung ab, insofern es Preislich bei unter 150 Euro ist ( selbst 200 währen noch absolut ok ) - und man sich an dem was ich dazu angemerkt habe habe nicht stört. Es ist absolut absurd ... Manche Leute habe ein Brummen beim berühren des Mikrofons. Das kommt Tatsächlich von zu guter Lackierarbeit am Gehäuse wodurch bei dem der Teil mit dem Neat Logo keine Verbindung zu Ground besteht. Das kann durchaus selbst behoben werden und ist nicht schwer, es muss nur dafür gesorgt werden, dass eben dieser Teil des Gehäuses mit Ground verbunden wird. Silenzioso, dal timbro scuro. È un microfono pesante e molto ingombrante, serve quindi un'asta o un braccio in grado di reggerlo. È un microfono sottovalutato ma dalla grande qualità costruttiva e sonora.
