Can this be hooked up only using the yellow ACC wire and the ground and not using the red constant power wire at all?

What if the cars fuses are all active? the 2020 mazda cx-30 has all fuses hot.

Highly doubt all the fuses are always hot, but did you try other fuse panels? some cars have 2-3.
