Sky Watcher V5 Hand Controller for EQ and AZ Telescope Control

Grate controller. I use it with Starwatcher Adventurer GTI. I don't have to carry the laptop anymore and I don't need my mobile to control the mount. This is new recent version. Also the controller does not drain much of the mount batteries. Grate Price ! Many Thanks Guys!

AVOID! Like others, I received what is obviously a return as a Christmas present. Not brand new. Worse yet, it immediately short circuited my Star Discovery Mount (using the cables supplied). Not only are we now having to return the controller, but I now have to pay to have my mount repaired. I wanted to double check the firmware on the controller by connecting to my PC but the PC link cable which is supposed to be included wasn't included either, nor any paperwork whatsoever, warranty, manual, nothing. Absolutely appalling.

once I read the directions setting it up all came together, use it mostly for the solar system.

I use this for my Skywatcher AZ-GTi mount. It came already updated with the latest, version 6, firmware. I imagine they all are shipping like that but you should verify that for yourself. Functions just fine. I use this mount and controller in conjunction with my ASI Air Plus astronomy computer from ZWO. Clear Skies
