Acceptable, Fair Price for a Solid Controller
Pros: + Plug and play. + Feels great, reasonably sturdy - just don't throw it out a second story window. + Holds a charge for a good bit of time, comes with a charger which is USB-C. As it should be. + The analog triggers (L2, R2) feel especially nice + Compatibility is generally impressive, even worked with my iPad using the USB receiver. Neutral: ~ Others seem to report concerns with how Turbo works for this controller, though I cannot speak to that as I haven't used the Turbo function so I cannot verify. ~ Playing with this on a Switch can be disorienting button-wise if you don't know the Switch controller button layout by heart. This is intended for Playstation games afterall, though. Cons: - No Bluetooth support

Awesome controller
Easily the best third party ps2 controller I’ve bought, it feels great although it’s closer to Xbox’s controller form, and it’s very lightweight. The pressure sensitive buttons work very well too. If there’s any latency, I personally couldn’t tell. Battery life is long and doesn’t take too long to charge. The only complaint I have is that both triggers are super sensitive, they respond with such light pressure that I’m unable to lightly rest my fingers on them as I normally would a modern day controller. Some people say it gets better over time so I’m hoping that’s the case but it took a couple hours to get used to not having my fingers touching them while resting.

PS2 - Only Useful for Some Games
Background: I have used this product solely for PS2. Games I have tested it with: Tony Hawk 3, X-Men Legends, Fallout Brotherhood of Steel, Simpsons Hit and Run, among others. I’m not sure if the other reviewers are paid reviews or just people excited about how this thing looks out the box without using it, but I have had a bad experience with this controller for PS2 both when I bought it originally AND when I was sent a replacement by the company. To RetroFighters’ credit, they were very quick to send me a new controller when I emailed them, but that doesn’t help much when the product has issues. Controller feels decent in the hands, maybe a little light. Texture on back of grips is nice. Color selection is nice. Buttons feel good. Overall controller feels sturdy. Sticks are reminiscent of PS4 controller and I prefer them to the domed sticks of PS2 controllers. Controller is already paired with its dongle. Charges fast, USB-C is nice. All buttons as a rule are very sensitive. Face buttons are responsive. Never had any issues with missed button presses. Shoulder buttons feel good even with PS2 given their modernized design. No issues with missed presses on the shoulder buttons. The joysticks are another story. In Tony Hawk, where you have to do a quick up/down movement to manual, the controller frequently doesn’t register the input. It is a strange combination of every button/stick being very sensitive yet with very fast movement on the stick, it simply cannot register the input. Tony Hawk is essentially unplayable with this controller. Moving around in a game like X-men Legends where fast stick movements aren’t required, is not an issue. The most frustrating issue is that when trying to play Tony Hawk and manual, after a while, the controller eventually develops a strong left drift on the left stick. Once this happens the controller is unusable until you pause and use the re-pair button on the back of the controller. It happens repeatedly, and it does this on the original controller I bought AND the replacement I was sent, so it is not an isolated issue. Overall, the controller is only suitable for some games. This is disappointing because the whole point of the controller is to have a modern, wireless replacement. If I have to go back to using the wired controller with cord extension for various games, what did this replace?

Awesome awesome awesome. Best controller I own.
Works for my PS2 (which is the whole reason I bought it). But I also just so happen to have a switch, and I just had to try it out on Nintendo. Now I can 100% say this is better than any switch controller I have personally used. Ever. Same goes for the ps2 and especially ps3. I never liked the ps3 dual shock because the handles are way to small. This Retro fighter feels more like a ps4 controller. I have not yet tried it out on my PC or Ps3 but I'm looking forward to it. The fact alone that this controller works for both my ps2, ps3 AND my laptop and switch is just mind blowing to me. Such a cool cool controller. Anyone who gives bad reviews about this product are wrong and I strongly advise to ignore them. The bad reviews very closely made me reconsider buying this but I'm so glad I went with my gut. I would give unlimited stars if I could. Best item I've ever bought on Amazon.

Great! Very useful for many devices. Responsive. Feels good. One minor issue and some thoughts..
My singular complaint is that L2 and R2 are sensitive enough to sometimes accidentally trigger them without realizing just by resting your fingers on the L2 and R2 and gripping them just enough to trigger them. Light touch is ok and most of the time it's not a problem, so they're not THAT sensitive, but accidental triggering can happen, as other reviewers have stated. These are just minor nitpicks and preference, but I wish the joysticks were a little more convex. Additionally, I wish clicking in L3 or R3 aka the thumbsticks and pressing in a direction just felt a hair more organic. The buttons triangle X square circle feel good and responsive and satisfying to press. if they were just a bit bigger and more spaced out they would be perfect. As is, they are very very good. I wish the D-pad was separated. It is functional but not ideal. also, the edges of the directions are not exactly entirely sloped so sweeping your thumb across could be a little smoother. What I mean is I should be able to sweep my thumbprint in a full circle around the D-pad without my thumb detecting any corners. They are rounded, but not sloped, so your thumb kind of has to navigate the terrain to do half/quarter/full circle sweeps, which is not ideal for fighting games. If the D pad plastic itself was sloped on all sides so that I could sweep smoothly, it would be a 9/10. As is, it's like a 7.5/10. It gets the job done and the problems I described are not such that it's particularly annoying. it just.. could be better. The grip is great, everything feels premium. I like this controller a lot. Its main feature to me is its utility in the sense that you can use it with many devices without setup. I really hope Retrofighters sees this feedback, because if the changes I notated were addressed, along with a couple other minor tweaks, it'd be a perfect controller.

Fantastic controller
As I was interested in reviving my PS1 and PS3 this controller came on top of the choices as the option that checked all the boxes. I unpacked it, and the first feeling that I got when I grabbed it was that the fit and comfort was amazing, and all the buttons had a quality feel to them like I have rarely felt (actually I prefer it to my series x controller). I have tested it so far with the PS1 and the pairing is instant, the vibration is solid, and analog sticks work without issue. If anything, the back buttons, the d pad, and the analogs are a bit sensitive, so you could accidentally trigger certain unwanted commands if distracted. Otherwise fantastic choice.

What a disappointment.
I was really looking forward to this controller, because good, wireless PS1/PS2 controllers are hard to find. In some ways this passes that test. I really appreciate the implementation of pressure-sensitive buttons for example. The wireless functionality is decent too in my limited testing. However, the button combination for turning the controller off is strange. As is the choice to have a “Clear” button for Turbo functionality rather than just allowing the turbo button activate and deactivate Turbo on its own. The analogue sticks are fine, but don’t feel fitting for the PS2. They’re overly sensitive and smaller, Xbox-style sticks that sit rather high. However, the build quality is real issue here. It feels incredibly cheap in the hands, with stiff buttons that have too much travel, triggers that feel mushy, and genuinely one of the worst dpads I’ve ever used. Forget passing the Contra test, this dpad makes fighting games straight up unplayable. If you only play 3D games this could maybe get you by, if you can get used to the sticks, but anything 2D? Forget it. Unacceptable. I’ll be sending mine back.

The problem solving controller
Great feel in the hands and worked great with the ps2/ps3. I didn’t try it for ps1 or pc though. But it really is worth it if you like to use old consoles. Used controllers are always so bad. This is a perfect fit for any sony fan! Having wireless ps2 controller is so crazy!

Very good value for money and no lag.
So good and no lag. Worth the money and not a cheap version of the same thing. Fit for all games and can be used on a pc with the free adapter included in the box.
