Easy to Mix in Water
Pros: Dissolves easily and completely. Only one ingredient (psyllium husk). It's organic. No sugars added. Cons: Will gel if you let it sit for a couple of minutes after mixing with water (which is normal) so I can't premix and take it to work. I recommend Anthony's psyllium husk powder because it's easy to drink. It doesn't have any flavor or sugar which is a plus if you want to mix it into your smoothie or favorite drink. Some people use it to regulate their digestive system, and it seems to work. This bag will last a long time since one teaspoon is all you need for one serving.

Great fiber supplement for MCAS
This is the only MCAS friendly fiber source I've been able to find, & it works great! The taste is kind of earthy & sandy, it takes a few days to get used to that. I just mix mine with water, it would probably not be a noticeable taste if mixed in something flavored. It does take a few minutes to get mixed in, so keep stirring & be patient. You can't premix it, because it absorbs the water & becomes a undrinkable gelatinous blob. LOL The instructions & everything you read online says to mix it with a full glass of water. DO THIS! I've tried drinking it with less, & it actually dries me out within an hour, to the point I kind of feel dehydrated & even my eyes feel dry. For me, 4 oz with 1/4 tsp is perfect. (I'm increasing my serving, so 8 oz with 1/2 tsp at a time is what I've moved up to.) Keep it stored in the original bag. (It says cool & dry place.) I made the mistake of thinking I needed to put mine in a supposedly air tight plastic container. It did not store well & actually caused a flare after it being in there a while. YUCK. I tried baking with it, but couldn't figure out how to get the proportions right to prevent that jelly blob I mentioned before. My loaf of bread ended up becoming a very wonky batch of chewy mini cinnamon rolls. LOL

Excellent quality — exactly what I needed
This psyllium husk is top quality and works exactly the way it should. The texture is clean, fine, and mixes easily into water or smoothies without that gritty aftertaste some brands have. I noticed a difference in regularity within just a couple of days, and it’s gentle on the stomach. I also appreciate that it’s organic, gluten-free, and has no additives — just pure psyllium. The bag is generous and lasts a long time, so it’s a great value. I’m very happy with it and will definitely reorder.

Beware - this is fine powder, not raw psyllium husk
I got fooled, and this product is non-returnable. The bag has "psyllium husk" in bold white letters, followed by "powder" in black letters. I wanted the more coarse psyllium husk because it seems to make sense if you want to add a fibrous component to your diet to scrub the digestive tract. I'm not looking for another soft gel/paste in my diet. It is tiring to have to parse carefully every online purchase description, and so we consumers tend to rely on a return policy for most items on Amazon. I did not notice that there is no return allowed for this product, which is unusual for Amazon. So it is a perfect storm of a product description that is easily confused with another (raw psyllium husk) and a strict no-return policy. Where is the artificial intelligence bot that should swoop in and alert us to be careful with such purchases? Nope, that might hurt Amazon's bottom line. We're on our own here. Otherwise, it appears to be a good quality product, well packaged. (Update after using the product) The product seems high quality, well packaged, and if you like psyllium husk powder, a good deal. Personally, I have learned I hate psyllium husk powder compared to "whole" psyllium husk. It just doesn't dissolve uniformly in water but rather clumps into big globs that won't break up. It also clumps on the utensil you are stirring with and is a hassle to get loose. I have yet to find a way to dissolve it in water. Maybe a blender would do it, but I'm not going to add that cleaning chore to my routine. In contrast, whole psyllium husk, with a little effort, can be vigorously stirred into water fairly easily. Both whole and powder make a jelly-like mixture if you use enough, but the whole husk has a texture more like pulpy orange juice that I prefer. Let me note: the water in my area is very hard and may contribute to the issue. I have noticed with whole psyllium husk that when traveling where the local water is low-mineral, the husk does not cling to the glass nearly as much and seems to wash off easily. In my home, cleaning the glass with either formulation requires a scrub brush or sponge. The psyllium, at home, clings like heck to glass. So maybe you won't have the clumping problems with this powder product. But for me, this powder is practically useless for making a drink. Maybe I can mix it with whole psyllium and make it work. Otherwise, I have a lot of bags of psyllium powder, and wasted money, headed for the trash.

Worked for me!
When I first started using it, I was using it with water. I was using 1 teaspoon and mixing it. It doesn’t mix that well. I read a couple of the reviews and someone said to start using juice with it and that made it so much better mow. I mix it with water and juice, I would recommend this for constipation because boy am I regular. It has been 2 months and I haven’t been constipated since. Oh btw, I looked under the package lol!

A high quality psyllium husk!
This psyllium husk is amazingly smoother than other brands I have tried and mixes well in water. It does not create as many chunks which makes it easier to swallow. And of course the effects on your GI tract is immediate. It helps my family members who are not regular with BM's!

Great Value One Pound Organic Quality Psyllium
Top Quality! It dissolves in cold juice without clumps or taste. This makes it easy to drink first thing in the morning before my coffee. Feels good going down, and sits well on my stomach with no strange feelings. I like it a lot. I drink it with apple juice when I first arise. No urgent feeling later in the day, if you take my meaning. lol The next day, my normal morning elimination is easy, normal, without strain or trouble.

Great Value
This is a great product at a very reasonable price, and if you take psyllium fibre daily you'll save a lot in the long run using this instead of drug store brand sizes. I've seen other reviews that complain about this product not mixing well, but that is simply the nature of psyllium husks rather than a fault of the product maker. If you want one that mixes easier the drug store brands are for you, but you'll have to be OK with additives that in some cases the jury is still out on in terms of long-term health and use. You can mitigate the difficulty mixing this product by using warm water (or other beverages) rather than cold, which causes the psyllium to clump. Be sure when using psyllium to drink a large glass of water and mix it very well, otherwise you could cause a blockage in your intestines. I think for the price this is an excellent value and I'll save a lot in the long run using this instead of drug store brands.

Beware: NOT Gluten Free!
I bought this product for some Keto recipes I want to try. The description states the product is, first and foremost, Gluten Free. Now, I can tolerate gluten but do want to avoid eating it wherever possible; I also realise there are a lot of people who cannot tolerate gluten at all. Well, I received my product today, and it has odd labels slapped all over it telling me the product is "Low Gluten"; the Gluten Free writing is also blacked out on the back...with Sharpie?? The Amazon barcode label, however, still maintains it's "Gluten Free". Don't know if I'll keep or return this yet; isn't filling me with any great confidence to use it.

Best price, much more versatile and cost-effective than Metamucil
I was having trouble finding unflavoured Metamucil (or generic equivalent). This product has the same active ingredient (ground psyllium husks), but without the flavouring, sweetening, or filler. Psyllium gently helps to keep you regular, and has been shown to help lower lipid levels in the bloodstream. As a result, a teaspoon of this packs more fibre than a tablespoon of regular Metamucil. I mix a teaspoon into a smoothie, but you could just as easily stir it into juice or plain water. The powder adds texture to your liquids, but doesn't noticeably affect the taste. For the price of a container of Metamucil, I have roughly four times the number of doses. Of course, you should never attempt to consume psyllium husks without first mixing them with liquid (or adding them to baked goods). The packaging is very clear on this point. People who complain that the product poses a choking hazard need to learn how to read directions.

GOOD PRODUCT IF THERE WAS NO GRIT IN IT
This is in general a good prduct to be regular and clean the stomach, however, this batch that I received had grit in it.

Used by Egyptian doctors three thousand years ago (commentaires en français inclus plus bas)
Psyllium was already used by Egyptian doctors three thousand years ago. They used it to treat urinary inflammation and constipation. It is also a good satiety regulator and facilitates transit. For my part I use it to target and regulate bad cholesterol. * Warning! You should drink a lot of water when taking psyllium to avoid obstructing the digestive tract.
