I bought this SP1106 skimmer vacuum plate to use with my pool skimmer, and it has been an absolute game changer when it comes to vacuuming out the pool. To be completely honest, I had some initial hesitations before ordering and didn't have a whole lot of hope that it would work smoothly. However, this little adapter completely changed my opinion the very first time I put it to use. The fit is absolutely perfect. It dropped right into place and created a flawless, airtight seal over the skimmer basket without any fighting or adjusting. Because it seats so well, there were absolutely no pressure drops or leaking issues at all. In fact, the vacuum suction through the hose felt like it was running at a full 100%, if not even a little bit stronger than using the direct wall connection. Being able to vacuum straight through the skimmer basket like this makes cleaning up leaves and heavy debris so much easier because it catches the bulk of the mess before it can ever clog up the pump lines. If you are on the fence or skeptical about how well this adapter plate seals, don't worry. It works beautifully, holds rock-solid suction, and makes pool maintenance a whole lot faster.

This fit perfectly in my Hayward Skim Master Series 2 skimmer. Using this plate is a better way to vacuum your pool since your skimmer basket will catch the large debris before it has the chance to run through your skimmer line and possibly clog it up or clog up your pump basket. I'd buy this again if it ever brakes. It's worth the money.

Excellent fit. Caution though as it fits very snuggly in the drain. So snug that I could not pull it out by hand as the suction was so strong. That is a good thing as it means it is doing its job for cleaning the bottom of the pool. I had to release the pressure on the pump which broke the suction and was able to pull it out.

I had issue because this requires a female end to the hose and you also need a female end for the manual sweeper. If you have an extra hose from you hayward autosweeper laying around like I did, you can cut the male end off and you are left with the raw hose which is the exact size of the femail end and you just push on firmly. I would think they would provide a female adapter.

Perfect replacement for the older model that I had.

it works great when you can get it to stay in place, other wise you have to monitor you have to keep repositioning it after the pump shuts down, I'm going to try using a nipple and and elbow hope that will work.
