Mounted a Garmin eTrex to the windshield of the Jeep during a week vacation to the UP of Michigan, since cell service can be, spotty. Even through some nasty trails, the eTrex proved invaluable and the Ram Mount never lost suction or moved where it was stuck. It can definitely handle larger devices than a little pocket GPS , so buy once and cry once.

Incredible suction. Doesn't move. Releases easy when needed. Quality seems good after a few weeks. I only wish I had discovered this device mounting system sooner, after wasting time on inferior products. Determine length for the arm part you need to purchase separately to get the distance perfect off your windshield.

So I have had this product and use in tractor trailers. Since we have slip seating it get applied and removed alot! It works great. I like to put a drop of water on it to improve the seal. Sometimes it releases when I have either left to much air in due to poor application after it heats up in the sun or with defrost on when it expands the air. The suction cup has held up well since I have taken care not to let it get damaged. All in all its what I expect from RAM mounts as a 30 year user in personal, professional, fire and EMS applications. On a humors note some one flipped the cam in the suction lock on me and I thought it failed. Quick disassembly to ser if I needed to put in warrenty claim and the Issue was Quickly spotted and resolved. Turds....

Bought this to mount my tablet while flying, amazing product, great suction, works for the car too! RAM is absolutely the best product you can buy.

I bought other products that were two to three times the price of this one and this one has outlasted the more expensive products I highly recommend this product it stays on the windshield it holds very tight and easily removable

I use this suction cup base as part of my phone mount setup, and overall it works well. The base feels solid, the 1-inch ball fits my mount components perfectly, and it keeps my phone stable while driving. The only downside is that over time the suction cup needs to be readjusted to keep a strong hold. Not a major issue, but something to be aware of. Overall, it is a good mount base.

Works as described.

After playing around with different RAM products to mount my phone for GPS (and not keep it in my lap while driving), I found this mount. With a long arm and phone holding attachment, all from RAM, it finally worked. I tried the mount that sticks to the vinyl dash but that torqued itself off and left a mark. I tried the claw grip mounted to my mirror but that made the mirror vibrate. This finally worked and worked well. One minor problem I've had is that in time, in the summer sun and heat it will slooooowly slide down the glass and eventually came off. But it's easy enough to put back and leaves no permanent marks on the glass or anything. Well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone.

I cheaped out on a few phone holders and finally had enough with flimsy junk. Got this RAM suction mount and paired it with some other bits and wayyyyy better. Solid, doesn't come randomly unstuck, easy to use. Save the hassle, buy the real deal RAM product from the start.

Awesome product I mounted in my drove and drove like a banshee in the logging roads and didn't even budged an inch. As long as the surface is flat its gunna stick and it has ridiculous suction I can open my freezer with it

This thing does not move when attached, but comes right off when released. Would definitely buy again.
