The flashlight arrived earlier today. Upon loading four EBL18650 batteries, each labeled 3000 mAh, The EBL batteries are probably Chinese, although they were not labeled as such. Another reviewer tested the batteries at 2200 to 2600 mAh. I bought the EBL batteries because they included labeling regarding safety features and because 3000 mAh is reputedly the highest actual value associated with an 18650. The 6000 mAh batteries recommended for purchase claim nearly twice the theoretical maximum and as such were not considered.I pressed once to trigger the bright setting. Pressing the lighted button a second time triggered the low beam setting; Holding down the button for a few seconds initiated a quick pulsing strobe light. All lighted positions are accompanied by a green actuator button light. All twelve T6 LEDs were illuminated. Unfortunately, most of my T6 flashlights are 5 mode, meaning the you have to go through multiple settings to get to the one you want. I believe this unit is much better with the strobe requiring a 3 second hold to activate. Otherwise having only a high and low beam is much preferable.I'll test the flashlight on my barn on the other side of a half acre pond after dark tonight and include the results as a postscript. This flashlight appears to be the same as one recommended by Amazon for two dollars more. Both units came with Prime shipping. The more expensive unit included neither the lanyard nor the replacement O ring.I'm not quite sure how useful the lanyard is. I never installed mine. The replacement O ring is packaged in a soft plastic bag with the lanyard.POSTSCRIPTAt 10:30 p.m. Central time, I attempted to illuminate most of the approximately two acres between the rear of my house and our horse barn. The barn was partially illuminated. The acre closest to the rear of the house was much better illuminated, providing sufficient light to identify a person. Given the distance to the barn, one of my focused lens T6 flashlights would have done a better job illuminating a distant object like the barn. That being said, this flashlight is well designed to illuminate nearer objects much better than the focused T6 flashlight and as such would accomplish my goal of better illuminating the ground ahead up to at least 100 meters on late night trips to the barn.

This light was shipped to me by accident. (Bar code error). GiareBeam then sent me the flashlight I originally ordered at a 99% discount and told me to keep this light no charge ! This light is very bright. It takes 4- 18650 3.7 volt lithium batteries. The beautiful feature about this light is that it will operate on as little as one battery! This is possible because of the circular contact plates in the battery chamber. In a pinch you could use this light with one charged battery for a shorter period of time. The light has two light settings, high and lower. It also has a strobe feature that is nice. It won't cycle into strobe mode unless you hold the on/off button down.You just press the operating button down and hold it for a second, it then goes into strobe mode. It came with two O-rings but only needs one to seal the battery compartment. The lanyard can be used as a handle placing it on front and rear of the flashlight, or placed on the end of the flashlight and the other end around your hand and wrist then cinched down with the tightening bead. Very nice. This is an amazing flashlight. Extremely bright !I couldn't be more satisfied! I have since purchased another light for my son.

I needed a pretty bright powerful compact and well-built flashlight and got this one. It's a bit larger than I thought, but still compact enough. It's very well built of all metal in a gold-tone color. Really a nice flashlight. It really does throw out intense light, they say 12,000 lumens. It takes 4 batteries [not included with flashlight] and get the batteries/chargers here too. There are several modes for this flashlight including strobe....but you cannot narrow or widen the flashlight beam....which is no biggie for me. It also comes with a carrying strap to attach to the flashlight. Seems funny you don't get the batteries with this flashlight....but you get a carrying strap. Oh well, it's still a great fat little flashlight.

Thank you GOD ! Out of the more than 50 flash lights I have purchased in the last 5 years this is by far the brightest one ,no contest.!!!!!!!! It's light pattern is also the most pleasing. Far brighter than any car headlight. hot spot will blind any bad guy mainly on strobe ,no sharp rings , sharp edges to the beam. I just tried it for the first time. Comparing this one to my tinny CV LIFE flashlight , that has an 800 lum. led with an 18650 battery .that little flashlight is my pocket buddy but at 4.5 watts it gets quite warm after 15 min. I think that this one with 12 times 4.5 watts , = an average of 54 watts , this puppy is going to get dam warm .I guess that,s the reason for the rope handle. This heat is perfectly normal .Let it cool ,or put it on low. As for the strobe mode ,supper!!! As a self defense device tops. At night just try to run at someone with this light ,you cant. no one could even point a gun at you . Don't forget to buy 4 18650 batteries and a charger , because the unit as sold now does not come with any. If you buy one i know you will love it by ---HERB THE POWER MAN --- P.S. Never put the lanyard next to the on off button it can unscrew it .

This is one powerful flashlight, made nice. Just like my Honriya, no difference, they are both made the same except this one is a tad cheaper in price, couple dollars less, plus you get the wrist strap with this one but not with the Honriya, they are exactly the same flashlight, they put out the same light, trust me I own both. The Honriya just comes in a nicer cardboard box, better packaging with directions but it's the same flashlight. Can't go wrong with this light, only takes 18650 batteries, buy these: 4X 5800mAh Li-ion 18650 3.7V Rechargeable Battery + 1X Dual Smart Charger Tokeyla shipped from USA, they work great. I'm impressed with this light, would buy again.
