Beats Studio Buds Comparison Review
Writing this after less than 24 hours of use, so can't speak to longevity. I was previously using Beats Studio Buds from 2021 until yesterday, April 2026. After HEAVY daily use, my Beats buds finally kicked the bucket. I am not in the financial position I was in when I bought the name-brand earbuds, so I was looking for a more budget friendly option without losing too much of the quality I was accustomed to. I like that the case is slightly smaller because I do carry my earbuds around in a case hooked to my keys. Still waiting for my case to arrive, but they'll be taking up less space than my previous pair. One thing I noticed is that they connect MUCH faster than my Beats did. There is no lag at all, the second I take them out of the case, they pair. Beats fit more snugly and a bit more comfortably, but after swapping the rubber heads to a size up, these fit nicely. Still adjusting to how they feel in my ear, but that seems to be a familiarity issue rather than a flaw. I have not yet worn them during exercise so I can't speak to how well they stay in, but I haven't had any issues using them at my office job. Noise cancellation was not my main priority because I usually only have one bud in at work, and if I'm exercising outdoors I like to have awareness of my surroundings, but I do think the noise cancellation is better on these than on my beats. I've noticed even with only one earbud in, I've not noticed people talking to me as easily. The case charged up very quickly to a full charge and I've had one earbud in for the better part of an 8 hour shift and it's still working great. Another feature I think is SO smart is that the rubber pieces that insert into your ear also have a mesh pattern which covers the actual wire mesh filter that sits inside the earbud preventing that from falling out or, worse, into your ear. Those mesh filters on my Beats constantly fell out and have been lost for a very long time. I'm no advanced audiophile, but to me the sound quality is more or less the same as before. At the very least, there is nothing about the Beats buds that are worth roughly $100 more than these. I have not tested the microphone for phone calls, and I won't be, it's just not something I use or need. I do think that they should have come with a carrying case due to how small and sleek the case itself is. Easy to remedy with a case ordered separately, but it would have made them feel more high quality. Initial pairing was common sense but a gripe I had was that the instructions were images only, no written text, and I had to find out from a YouTube comment section that for them to pair successfully you have to remove the buds and remove a teeny tiny piece of film off the bottom of the buds. The instructions neither pictured nor mentioned anything about that and it would have saved some frustration and extra googling had that been included. If these can last as long as my Beats Studio Buds did, then I can't think of a reason to pay the premium for a name brand earbud. Very pleased!

4.8 out of 5 only cuz the NC cuts out if the sound is too loud.
For 45$ u can’t beat these ear buds, solid 10 hour battery life about 8 hours with noise canceling on the sound quality and bass is actually impressive, just as good as 200$ JBL’s. Noise canceling is good but if ur around something a little to loud the noise canceling cuts out, honestly that’s my only complaint. They are probably the most comfortable earbuds I’ve had and the silicone part that goes in ur ear is even designed well, connects everytime, kind of wish it had a light on the bud so I can tell if it happens to not connect for some reason but I would recommend these ear buds to anyone. I pretty much exclusively got JBL’s before these ear buds and I now have a new favorite brand.

Good earbuds but sound quality leaves some to be desired
I've been using the same TOZO earbuds for 2 years and decided to buy these earbuds for these reasons: 1) longer battery life, 2) more options for sound modes, and 3) better connection with my iPhone. To give a little background, I primarily wear earbuds while working, commuting on the bus, and for personal use at home. But unfortunately, I decided to return the Soundcore earbuds for a few reasons. Continue reading below for my reasons why. Likes: 1) I really like the sound quality options as well as the ability to adjust the sound quality, using the Soundcore app which I think is a definite must if you want more control over the sound quality. I've really enjoyed switching between the ANC & transparency modes as they are surprising modes I never realized I wanted. With TOZO, I could only wear 1 earbud when using them at work so I can still hear my surroundings. But with the Soundcore earbuds on transparency mode, I can wear both earbuds and still hear the ongoings around the office near my desk. 2) The battery life is also a godsend in both the earbuds and the charging case. I don't think I fully realized when purchasing, how fast the earbuds would charge when in the case. At one point, I used the earbuds for 8 hours between ANC & transparency mode, charged the earbuds in the charging case for 15 minutes when I was on my break, and when I went to use them again afterward the earbuds were already 80-100% charged as according to my iPhone. Considering how often I use the earbuds after 8-10 hrs per day and 4-5 days of use from a full charge, the battery life is still 2 lights remaining which according to the Soundcore manual should be about 70-50% battery life remaining (I think that's the right range). 3) After using the TOZO earbuds, I've grown to appreciate wireless charging which the Soundcore earbuds do so that's a plus. Much easier for me as I'm still unused to using a USB-C cable which the Soundcore earbuds do come with, but I just have not liked charging my earbuds with a cord as much. Dislikes: 1) As much as I love the sound modes, I desperately need as much noise canceling as possible when using earbuds at home/commuting. So when I'm at home/commuting, I more often use the ANC mode on these earbuds. The audio setting does perform noise canceling well but these fall below the bar when I compare these earbuds to my TOZO earbuds which block out more noise than the Soundcore earbuds. I can cancel out more noise on the Soundcore earbuds by raising the volume under ANC mode. But as much as I would like to continue that method on the Soundcore earbuds, I value retaining my hearing as much as I can. 2) Connection-wise for the Soundcore earbuds with my iPhone was good to a point. Connecting to my iPhone was no issue, it was some situations in retaining that connection when going about my day is the issue. I've found the audio connection for the Soundcore earbuds cuts off when I'm on the bus/car (don't worry I'm not the one who's driving). When the vehicle (bus/car) drives over a very bumpy road/highway, the audio cuts off in response until the vehicle is back onto a smoother road/highway. I've also noticed this connection issue when I'm walking around my apartment complex, specifically when I walk under and through a small hallway to enter between complex buildings (my apartment complex is primarily outdoors when navigating between complex buildings to access apartment units). I had this issue recently with my TOZO earbuds so I'm sad I'm already having this issue with the Soundcore earbuds right out of the box. Mind you, the Soundcore earbuds I received may be a previously returned set that was already opened. 3) Receiving the Soundcore earbuds already opened dampened my experience with these earbuds early on. But I knew this was a familiar tactic that Amazon often does if the condition of the item is still almost good as new. So I tried to keep my fingers crossed that using the earbuds changed my mind since the earbuds still looked unused and had no residue of dirt on the earbuds themselves. I still cleaned the earbuds myself just in case, especially nowadays with the pandemic. Overall: The fact that qualities I liked with the TOZO earbuds were missing out for me when using the Soundcore earbuds (sound quality) and I started having the same issues with the Soundcore earbuds as I currently have with my TOZO earbuds (connection issue), this was big negative for me since I still wanted to retain that quality as this was a $99 purchase. But I still rated these earbuds 4 stars because I really liked the battery life which exceeded my expectations and I really liked the type of sound quality modes in tandem with the Soundcore app as it really helped me customize my experience day to day depending on what activity I'm doing (commuting or at work).

Worth the money!!!
Hey Y'all! OK, so a couple things first. One, I am not normally a headphone/ear bud user. That being said, I am very impressed by these ear pods. Two, a friend of mine gave me a single Airpod, the left one. Seems like a messed up gift, only being half a set, but it was for a good reason. He lost the other one and purchased a new pair. At the time, I didn't have anything. So, he was happy to give it to a friend, a good home and I was grateful to get something nice for free. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortable, the sound quality left a lot to be desired and I only had one. So, I gave it to my son and bought a pair of these. The first thing I noticed about them is the design. The buds themselves not only look cool, but the charging case is nice looking as well. The magnet that holds the pods securely inside are strong. It is easy to see if the buds are in the right spot and the lighted display shows when they are inserted and how much charge is left in the case. Next, let's talk about fit and comfort. The kit comes with four sets of silicone tips sizes. So, fitting them to your ear is very convenient and easy. Not too mention, they are easy to swap out. Also, they sit very comfortably inside of the Concha of your ear. Although the ear naturally sweats and over time they loosen, resetting then in your ear is quick and easy. Connectivity is very easy with these. They connected to my iPhone quickly the first time and automatically connect when you take one or both out of the case. Something that I like a lot is there is a free App that you can download that allows you to customize a lot of the features. Not only does the App allow you to change the level of noise cancelation, which is digital and feels almost magical, but you can also adjust the equalizer settings and the single tap, double tap and long hold settings that will perform anything from pausing, next and previous track and volume controls. Not too mention, a whole host of other very cool things. Next, let's talk about sound. They sound amazing! Excellent bass and mids and highs. Distance is another big plus. I can walk about 50ft away from my phone with no walls in between, with no interruption and about 30ft with brick walls in the way with no interruption. It’s amazing! Lastly, battery life. They will hold a charge longer than my iPhone can while playing the music I'm listening to. All in all, get them. Seriously. You won't regret it.

Terrific overall; but with several cautions after using them for a while
These last for at least 8 hours, the ANC is great, the case is compact. Get the app for your phone--you can adjust various things, particularly the equalization curve. As an audio engineer, I hate the numerous brainless equalization curves, labelled with such meaningless terms as "Dance" or "Hip-Hop" or "Lounge" and so forth. No, you equalize for flatter bass, midrange, or treble. That's about it. And the app lets you adjust those things manually, fortunately. Other than that, great product. Aftermarket foam tips do a better job of sealing and minimize risk of falling out. Get these. UPDATE TWO MONTHS LATER: (1) Tried using them while running a lawn mower. Yes, the noise-reduction really does work. To my great surprise, the foam and regular tips were about equally effective. The foam might still be slightly better if they help to keep the buds in place. With my ears, not much difference as the tips don't go into the ear very far anyway, so foam doesn't make much difference. (2) The original buds had an issue--the right bud sometimes wouldn't recharge securely, resulting in a dead bud the next time I wanted to use them. I found that when you put each one in the case, the white light is supposed to come on for a few seconds, indicating a charging connection. The right bud was unreliable in this regard. I returned them, and the new set worked perfectly. (3) I liked them so much I bought a second set. I thought I'd save some money by buying Refurb. HUGE MISTAKE! The refurbs only updated to a version 4pointsomething, rather than 5.39 of the first set, and the noise reduction was lousy. Returned. I then bought another NEW set, which updated to the latest firmware, and the noise reduction was terrific, like the first set. (4) I discovered it makes a big difference to use the smartphone app to calibrate them to your particular hearing. The app actually performs a hearing test at several frequencies and creates a response curve. If you then use that curve as your reference, these things are amazingly well-balanced. So I'm taking off one star because of the charging issue on the first set, and issuing a caution about getting a refurb set which can't or won't update to the latest firmware version. But once you get a good set, they are terrific. ADDITIONAL NOTE: make sure when you put each one away for charging that the white light on the case comes on for a second or two, indicating contact. I discovered that my ear wax or oil or whatever would often prevent good contact, meaning that I needed to wipe the contacts down every time. Also, if you use the bud for so long that it goes completely dead, then when you put it in the case to charge the light will not come on. But after 5 minutes of charging, you can take the bud out and put it back in and then the light will come on as usual. UPDATE 1 May 2025: So I've been using these virtually every night in bed for listening to music for hours before I go to sleep. They are terrific, and the noise canceling is stellar, if you use the app to make sure that the fit is as good as it can be. It's very important when taking them out of your ears to do a quick wipe of the earbud gold contacts on a cotton shirt or something before putting them in the case. Otherwise the connection may not be very good and they may not charge very well. But that's a trivial point, overall these are absolutely First Rate, and I've been giving them heavy use with no issues whatsoever. Noise cancellation is exceptional, frequency response is excellent once they are tuned to your particular ears via the app and the price is reasonable. Rating back up to five stars. I've now bought four sets for myself and friends and family.

Good sound quality earbuds for the non-active lifestyle.
I have a Love hate relationship with these. First let me say I've had a pair of Life dot 2's and A1's both also made by anker but with a slightly more active design that incorporated Rubber buttons, And Silicone Ear flares of different sizes to help hold them in. These Space A40's do not have as strong of a bass as the Soundcore life dot 2's or A1's they do have a cleaner very clear sound so If you like classical slow music or podcasts watching movies etc they're good there, and the Noise canceling is awesome. They also feature a small very compact case and they look very sleek with the black and silver. Now for the cons that keep my opinion of them for my own use on the fence after having them for long enough to use them for everything. These do not have bottons. they are touch sensitive and sometimes do not register the amount of times you touch them, so you get the wrong input meaning I wanted to change the volume and instead skipped my song, or vise versa very annoying. They also feature a completely plastic body with only silicone utilized for the tip. so They're quick to fall out of your ears if you exercise or work up any kind of sweat, and when you touch them to adjust them in your ear they usually do something you didn't want them to do because of the touch sensitive design instead of buttons lol... They also are only IPX4 rated which is only water resistant in the case of water or sweat getting on them, so if you drop them in water they're likely toast unlike the Life dot 2's which are IPX5 and The A1's which were IPX7 rated meaning fully submersible for a small period. My overall assessment of the Space A40 earbuds is these are great for low activity users who are not intending on having a real strong bass and want clear audio with good noise canceling and a good battery life. I think for the price they're good compared to other makers but I feel like it's a shame that anker has made very similar earbuds in the past (lacking the compact case and sound canceling) that were more water resistant, stayed in your ear better and Had physical buttons for roughly $20 less and they discontinued them leaving these the most similar design which unfortunately just falls short for the people like me who like relaxing at home or on your work break listening to music, podcasts, shows etc and then later going for a jog or lifting weights because of their lack of retention in your ears and the buttonless design. I will keep using these as they're great, where they're good. but for the active lifestyle they leave you wanting more in places their previous similar models didn't.

Almost a year with these buds - SPECTACULAR!
Final update - the right earbud issue has yet to repeat, so that's not an issue. As I've said, I have four other top end earbuds, and the only pair I use is the Soundcore A40. We have a little land and a John Deere Z920M zero turn, and its loud. My neighbors all have the same mower, and all wear headsets. I now won't mow without my A40's, as the noise cancelling is even better than my 1 month old top end hearing aids (thanks VA). The sound is not like you're sitting in a studio listening to an album on a top end everything audio, but nothing is, so when people try comparing buds to studio headsets, I just smile. The sound is crazy good for a couple of marble sized devices that connect via a rf signal. Darn amazing. Update - I submitted a warranty claim, due to the right earbud not being active when I started this morning, but I decided to put them back into the charge case for a few minutes and it came to life. Here's to hoping this is not a new trend? Still love their sound quality, and general fitment. I have noticed that they have started to come loose when I'm bent over working in the heat. I've been tempted a couple times to buy new buds, but these are still very hard to beat. Over the last two months I've tried several earbud, all were horrible failures. These are different. Shortly after I got them I headed from N. FL to Delta Junction AK. So 9 total hours in the air both directions. While there I spent 5+ hours a day running a chainsaw, a stump grinder, and a commercial wood chipper, all while using the noise cancellation (N/C). I never ran out of battery life while running N/C, although once I left the first leg of my flights, I did put them back in the case, so each leg they were returned to full charge. Only once did I have one come lose from my right ear, and it did not fall out. Before I left I'd use them to run my John Deere commercial mower for the two hours it takes to mow the yard, and they were awesome at cutting out motor noise. Wear - With the correct tips they work flawlessly. They have a fit process called Real Ear ID (or something like that). The testing will determine the best fit and seal by running those tonal sounds you're used to in hearing test booths. I was never able to get a passed or perfect fit according to the test, and I did try three sets of the foam tips (these did not work in my ears, and they did not allow the buds to charge in the case). As I said they stay in your ears. Charging - The case is small and give you a full charge in well under an hour. There are only 3 led charge indicator lights, and I've never had less than 3 lights. The case also has the USB-C type charging port, unlike half of the other buds I tried, which still had micro USB. There are no good case covers that I found on Amazon, but I bought a soft case cover and it works ok, where I'd rather have a hard cover. Touch control - the app allows you to change the function of single, double, triple touch, and long hold. The touch is responsive, and accurate. Wear - Possibly a kind of repeat, as I've discussed fit, but I wanted to cover comfort. I do not get wear fatigue. Sound and volume - The sound is easily as good as my Samsung Ear Buds Pro with much better battery life. Volume seems to be a problem with most earbuds, but not these. I'm older with hearing loss, and like to listen to my music louder than is comfortable for most. I end up around 45% of volume for regular listening, and around 70% they become too loud, but the sound is still clear and crisp. The App - It is simple, but complete, with EQ function. I've finally found a set that I'll keep.

Nice but disappointing noise cancellation and loud battery warning
Great earphones but not for sleeping or serious noise cancellation. Soundcore makes sleep earbuds, I know, but they were much more expensive so I tried these first. The sound was great. Wonderful fit and they come with different sizes of ear tips. Easy to pair with my phone. All great until the two things I wanted them for: noise cancellation and streaming audiobooks while I sleep (the only magic cure for my insomnia). The earbuds claim 98% noise blocking. I could still hear all kinds of noises: street sounds, neighbor dogs, regular talking, the AC that I was desperately hoping to block. Noise was less but like 40% less, at most. I tried all the methods suggested to make cancellation better. Disappointing, especially when I tried my husband's Bose earbuds and no sound got through. I might have lived with this but the battery didn't last through the night in noise cancellation mode and bellowed "low battery, " seemingly at a higher volume. There's no way to turn this off?!? Come on! Even if I weren't trying to sleep I don't want earbuds yelling at me. Anyway...for regular, non-sleep uses they're great and you'll probably like them. I am grateful that these could be easily returned.

Amazing sound and battery, best in price
Editing my previous review, I bought this in november 2023, and loved the sound, but the batery seemed less, but i loved the sound so much tht i didnt return. After 3 month i posted a review, saying lovely sound but battery is less. I was contacted by seller saying we r sorry, and we would like to make it up to u, and we offer a ful refund. I responded tht i would prefer if u send me a new one if battery is more, they accepted immediately. I reutned the old unit without any shipping charges and a new space a40 reached me within 2 days. And i love not only love the sound, but the app customization options, now the battery is also more than +7 hrs continuous music, and charging speed is also fast. I compared these with soundpeats free 2 classic, soundpeats mini, soundpeats mini pro, soundpeats engine 4, jabra elite 7 pro, one plus evo, (yes i love collecting n enjoying alot of these.) and i can confidently say i can rank it almost at the top, in terms of sound and battery life. The best part is sellers concern, responsiveness and their confidence in their product and going out of the way to resolve a customer issue and thus winning respect and a returning customer. This was my first experience with soundcore but i m impressed n wil definitely buy again n recomend to everyone. Highly recomended

Great value for money
I lost my AirPods and wanted to buy a replacement without spending too much. Read glowing reviews online and went ahead and bought on Amazon.SG. Delivery was very quick, setting up was easy and works as promised. Noise cancellation is reasonably good too.

Great backup earbuds
Great audio for the price, noise cancellation works great in the office.

Geweldige prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Amazing Mic and Sound quality
Great value for money, amazing base, perfect mic, very light on ears. i used to use Samsung Galaxy bud 2 Pro but after using Soundcore A40, i have realised it is much better in terms of call quality, music perhaps the same (but in nearly half the price of samsung buds). 3D sound is not so great though, but overall great music and call experience.
