I love it. But there's a catch. When it's fresh, the color sheds. A lot. As others have warned: After application, don't wait in the shower for the water to run clear. If you do, you'll be that shower for a solid 2 weeks. That's how long it took before my hair stopped shedding dye on pillowcases and towels. And also for the first few weeks, do NOT get caught in a rainstorm (unless you want random blue streaks all over your clothes). That said, this color is amazing. I dyed my hair 4 months ago and it still looks fabulous. I've never had a fun hair color last this long before. The vibrant blue has faded a bit, sure, but it's now a pretty peacock-y blue-green. I still get compliments. Would I use Splat Pure Sapphire again? Absolutely. But for the first few weeks, I will be extremely careful about what my freshly dyed hair touches. Beautiful, but be aware!

Advice/My experience
So overall, the kit is pretty comprehensive and easy to use. My hair was jet black and I let the bleach sit in for about 30-40 mins. I applied the dye and I kept it in overnight so the color can really sink in. The instruction say rinse until the water run clear. DONT. It will never run clear. I rinsed till I got tired of rinsing then I just styled my hair. Even if your hair gets dry after a wash and you add anything that makes it wet, like moisturizer, it will stain. When I was applying shea butter to my hair my hand were all stained so yeah. Today I washed my hair (my second time shampooing) and the color was washing out. In the image, you can see that the front of my hair had lost most of it’s color. This was supposed to last 30 washes. I’m low key disappointed as this was the first time I’ve bleached and dyed my hair and Splat had been praised so much by people.

Do not buy
Doesn’t do the job. It also bleeds out everywhere. And it’s splotchy.
