McCabe Organic Hulless Barley Tea-1.5lbs

This barley tea is perfect. I haven't tried it hot yet I've been using it for iced tea unsweetened. I remember having this over the years but could not find it. Sooooo happy I did. I have been brewing it as follows,, for a regular coffee maker I use 1/2 cup for 14 cup measurement. Let it steep for 30 minutes. Also you can use it 2 more times just let it dry thoroughly increase your brew time as such 2nd time 40 minutes and 3rd time 60 minutes. After that I feed it to the wild song birds 🐦 . Do try this very tasty product. I will buy this often.

I like to make iced tea from this barley and drink on hot summer days. It's delicious and high quality, and I appreciate that it is certified organic.

I make barley tea in my 4liter pot. My wife and I enjoy this specially in cold weather. I has good flavor. Wish it was little cheaper though.

This is my first time trying barley tea and I fell in love instantly!!!!! I added a 1tsp scoop and ended up adding 2tsp to a strainer ball and was able to do 2 brews on it just fine with 2 pieces (about a tsp each) of jaggery for sweetness. It’s so so so good I love it so much it might be one of my fave teas! I see this mixing well with other teas too to give a unique flavor, plus the bag is MASSIVE and so this will last probably forever

Something about this product- despite the organic label - gave me a splitting headache and neck-ache every day and night for days on end and I realized it was b/c this tea I was drinking is contaminated probnlably with arsenic and hevy metal run off- which they don't test for

I was so excited for this tea. I made the tea once It was delivered! I boiled a pot of hot water and put some roasted barley in the pot and continue boiling for maybe 1 minute. Then covered the pot and let it steep until it was warm. It tasted just like what I expected. I am happy I made this purchase. The longer it seeps, the darker the tea becomes, and the roasted taste is stronger. I guess it’s personal preference how long you want to seep your tea.
