I see it says right outer. Is there a different u-joint for the left?

how come this says it wont fit a 1996 dodge 3500 4wd but it says it will work on the moog website and advance auto parts?

Cross reference with your local auto parts store "Napa" or even look it up on "Rockauto". This size U-joint is used on other 1 tons & 3/4 ton trucks in my case Fords. On Rockauto it is shown fitting the front axle left & right outer positions (#9) on a 1996 Ram 3500 5.9l pickup. Good luck!
