I picked up this deck and was pleasantly surprised by how approachable it is for newcomers. The ready-to-play 100-card deck lets you jump straight into games without needing to build or fuss over complex interactions. Here’s what really stands out: The theme (Green-White tokens) is super intuitive: create creatures, grow them, and overwhelm your opponents. Great for learning the flow of the game. It includes helpful accessories and guidance: a reference card, strategy insert, tokens, and a deck box all help smooth the learning curve. The build quality and value are excellent. You get a lot for the cost, and it feels like a well-packaged introduction to the format. It works beautifully both for casual play with friends and as a stepping stone into deeper gameplay/background, because the mechanics are solid but not overwhelming. If you’re new to Commander, new to the game in general, or looking for a fun, easy-to-learn deck to hand off to a friend, this is a superb choice. I got this for my husband and just knew that he wanted this set and he was very happy with it. The cost for it was good as well. He is just starting his journey with MTG and is excited!!! Beautifully illustrated as well.

Don't let the pricing or it's title as a Starter deck dissuade you from picking this up (or checking out the other decks in this series), this has been a great deck to pick up and upgrade. I picked this up with the mindset of "I'll upgrade it a little and, if someone wants to learn or needs a deck, they can use this one" and instead this has become one of my favorite decks to play. My ONLY gripe honestly.....the foiling on the card. The art is awesome, but the foiling is AWFUL. Rather than foil key places on the card art, to help things pop out (if that makes sense), the ENTIRE CARD is foiled in a single layer of just horrendous sheen...which especially sucks because this art isn't used on any other variant of this card. I ended up picking up the original print in foil instead. That aside, don't pass these decks up, they're great decks to pick up, upgrade and play without spending the usual $60-$80 they charge for Commander decks these days

Very fun begginer deck, to learn to play, and build off of!

Pretty op straight out of the box. Good starter deck for anyone getting into magic and not wanting to take the time of building a deck. The pack has good flow and most of the cards are pretty simple in terms of what they do.

Exactly as described, cards were brand new and the deck is great for starters.

Relatively new to mtg and I wanted to get a starter commander deck in preparation to play in person as I’ve been playing arena quite a bit and this is brilliant. Not played it just yet but I’m happy with the price and all the cards are great for someone just introduced to the world and mechanics of magic. Definitely recommend to new players looking for a good introduction that’s understandable and at a budget price point.

Its a good deck for starting out. Reasonably powerful. Good to start out or for those looking for more and better green-white cards.
