Strong and effective
Worked great to cut 16 holes in 3/8-inch-thick mild steel plates. Used a mag drill like a drill press, slow speed, moderate pressure, with cutting fluid. Both the pilot bit and the carbide cutters did an excellent job of cutting through these steel plates. There were only 2 occurances when the cutting seemed to stop progressing. Those were cured by pulling out, cleaning shavings out of the hole/cut circle, and restarting with a fresh drop of cutting fluid. I am pleasentlly surprised that we got through all 16 holes with a single bit.

Cuts thick gage metal with ease
Good quality, walked right through some pretty thick gage metal with ease. Great price for this product, I've spent a lot more. Only negative was the burs from the cut flew up in every direction and sprayed the area... I thought was different. But for the ease of cutting a 3 5/8" hole I'm very satisfied

Worked out perfectly for drilling homes in my golf carts. Now issues, performed as expected.

Complete Junk โ Avoid This Blade! Broken Bits and Tips on Day One
As a licensed contractor, I know how to use hole saws properly, so the issues I experienced with this 1'' Tungsten Carbide Tipped Hole Saw were strictly due to its incredibly low qualityโnot user error. Out of the box, the tool looked decent, but its performance was absolute garbage. On the very first hole I attempted to drill into mild steel, the pilot bit shattered instantly. Fortunately, it came with a spare. I swapped in the second bit and tried again, only for that spare bit to shatter right away as well. Determined to finish my project, I pre-drilled a pilot hole using my own drill bit and inserted the remaining stub of the broken bit into it to guide the saw. At that point, the "carbide" teeth just started breaking right off. I expected a much longer lifespan and significantly better durability out of a carbide-tipped tool. The metal is far too brittle, and the best you could possibly use this for would be making a hole in plastic. Do not buy this for professional or metalworking use.

Good value, a little difficult to use in hand drill
I used this hole saw in a hand drill to put vent holes in a 50-gallon drum burn barrel. The hole saw, center drill bits (2), springs, and allen wrench come in a nice plastic container. When installing the center drill bits, there is a "flat" side that needs to be aligned with the allen set screw. If these are not aligned, the center drill bit will come loose (don't ask me how I know that). I drilled about 13 holes in the barrel which is made sheet metal probably about 1 mm thick. The center drill bit cut through the metal ok -- nothing spectacular but not bad. The hole saw portion worked fine, but unless the saw was entering the metal at a perfect 90-degree angle, like it would when using a drill press, one of the hole saw teeth would catch as it cut completely through the metal and torque the hand drill almost out of my hand. After several holes I was better at keeping the hole saw at the correct angle and mostly avoid this. I ran the drill at a slow speed and used cutting oil, two important tips whenever cutting metal. I noticed a slight slow down (i.e., dulling) on the center drill bit from the first two the last hole, but expect it will continue cut fine for many more holes. The item comes with two center drill bits. The hole saw did not seem to dull over the course of the 13 holes I drilled. I would buy this again for the price and the limited number of times I expect to use it.

No Mercy
I didnโt give it any mercy and survived multiple uses even after bluing the metal I was drilling Did start with a smaller pilot hole then went to it I use my last one till the teeth were missing this one in for the same Then will buy this one again

Fresa ben fatta e affilata, consigliata

Successfully cut AR400 plate steel
I needed to cut some AR400 plate steel. these cutters, while not the best quality, did the job. I was able to cut 4 holes at 2" diameter in 3/4" thick steel. Chip evacuation is rather poor, so i had to retract the cutter often to clear chips. And i used plenty of cutting oil to give the cutter a fighting chance. After these four holes, the teeth on the cutter are very worn, and i don't think it will cut one more hole.

quality is good
sharp and cuts good, cut 10 holes in steel don't know how long it will last though, pricey name brand not as good as this thing.
