Yes, however, the spray may kill the adult bed bugs but the eggs will not be killed and due to the fact that the spray does not leave any residue to kill the newly born bed bugs, several treatment would have to be done regularly. The average bed big egg takes two weeks to hatch but due to the fact they lay over 300 eggs a week, you will can't just spray once. For a double sized room two to three cans is needed. I would also recommend you buy a bed bug mattress and tape over the zipper. With all that said, over 90 percent of the time even if you do all of what I have stated, you will still need to contact a professional. Would this be harmful to cats or dogs sleeping on the bed?

I have four cats and didn't harm them. Thought I sprayed the beds and shut the door for a hour then opened window after that then let cats back up stairs.

I believe so. I was bitten a few times - and to be fair don't know by what, could have been a spider or any other biting insect, but you immediately fear the worst, even though never seen any bugs ! I now spray my mattress and surrounding floor area once a fortnight - and no more bites !
