3-D Solar System (Package may vary), Black

Really easy to assemble. Better quality than I expected considering its so reasonably priced. Looks good and glows in the dark. Buying another one as a gift for another child because I was so impressed.

My 3-year-old son is fascinated with the solar system and never tires of telling me all about the planets, so I decided to buy this for his bedroom in our new house. As others have said, it is a bit fiddly to assemble, tying the virtually invisible thread firstly round the planets, then to the star shaped tacks. That alone took me about an hour to do, but my son sat by me the whole time, watching my every move, and ensuring I did them in the correct order. Once they all had the thread attached, it was time to pin them to the ceiling, which (thankfully) took only a couple of minutes. I have to say, they look brilliant, and most importantly, my son is delighted. He shows every visitor his planets, and every night he says goodnight to them all. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my 6 year old son and he likes them a lot now they're finally up on his ceiling. There are 9 planets included aswell as planet labels and a sheet of glow in the dark star/asteroid stickers. You really can create a solar system on your ceiling. It's easy to tell the planets apart as they are vaguely coloured/patterned and sized relevantly. They are made of quite flimsy brittle plastic though which may crack if dropped. Was quite fiddly to attach thread ready for hanging but the pins and tack provided has kept them up without any incident. They do glow in the dark after a few minutes of light exposure beforehand, but only for a short while (not all night though!!!!). They are a great visual illustration for any child with a keen interest in planets and the solar system but don't expect a planetarium experience!

Father Christmas got this for my 5 year old. We (Dad and her) hung the planets from her bedroom ceiling. They glow in the dark and my daughter absolutely loves them. I would recommend this product as not only is the price good, but also for the enjoyment and educational value. The planets come with labels, thin line and tacks for hanging them and a sheet of glow in the dark planet and star stickers (which my daughter has stuck on her bedroom wall)

Great value for money

The product looked very good but the it's not worth it for that price. I expected a £16 solar system to be very strong but cracked as soon as it dropped on my carpet floor

My 3 year old loves these planets! They were easy to put together and hang, the set comes with all you need. I've hung them from his bedroom ceiling moving outward from the light which we use to represent the sun. He can now name all the planets in the right order and tell me a little about each one. They glow softly in the pitch dark which is also nice. He liked them so much we've bought him a book about planets and he's learning more and more all the time. A must for all those little budding scientists.
