Nickel Plated Steel

I've experimented but gone back to these. They sound as good as the NYXL on my Novo and last way longer. My Mastery bridge was creaking and now it isn't. Some of that is likely due to the reduced friction from the coated strings.

The Elixir Nanoweb strings are a life saver in some respects. They are coated so they last for a very long time. This can be handy when you're pushed for time (re-stringing 3 guitars with Floyd Rose bridges can be hairy and time consuming), or if you're half way through the month and don't have much cash. Having strings that last longer is a life saver in that respect. Apparently Elixir released Polyweb strings, strings that allegedly could last forever.So what about the tone? The tone is great! I find Fender nickel strings (not nickel plated) are the best strings I have heard in terms of tone, and they are my favourite strings. But you know what. I stock up on these Elixir bad boys, because the tone is passable, they last longer, and hey I've been lazy. I haven't changed the strings on my main guitar for three months. They aren't even rusty yet! These strings really are that good. Although in the interest of honesty, if I was performing with a band, or knew I was going to be jamming out with some friends, I would probably use Fender nickel strings, because they're my absolute favourite in terms of tone.

elixir are the best strings in my 40+ years playing guitar - these solved several issues:1.quality of sound of an ordinary uncoated strings goes down rapidly - but not with these - I had 0.13 gauge phosphor bronze stringson for almost 3 years - they never went muddy2.I am not a pro and I don't have a guitar technician - so for me changing strings every week or two was up to me and I have 10 guitars3.so I am buying about 3 packs a year instead of 20 - 304.it is a big time and money and hassle saverand that is why I've been using these strings for more than 15 years now...they sound great and for very long timethe only complaint could be that they are not unbreakable....they do break exactly as any other strings,but because it is usually top E string,just get a few cheap spares and that's it

Elixir are a good brand and they do probably last longer than some other brands. But I don't think there for me, I bought them because I'm lazy when it comes to changing strings so i wanted something that would last. But I'm not keen on these strings so I'm changing them only having used them for 2 weeks. Plus side, delivery was really fast, I got them the next day!

Clear sound, smooth feel, last 12 months. I store my guitars in cases, acoustics with humidity packs, play at home only and they last for a year. It means around 100 hours of playing for me, after that , strings loose ‘elasticity’ but still don’t rust like other brands . Tried all kind of strings from different brands, these are my favourite even within Elixir range.

Cordes de bonne qualité. Leur revêtement peut étouffer très légèrement la brillance des aigus au goût de certains mais il apporte une protection efficace contre la corrosion (la sueur peut en effet accélérer ce processus).

Honestamente não tenho o que dizer a não ser da ótima qualidade dessas cordas, estou a quase 4 meses sem trocar de cordas e ainda está brilhante e com ótimo timbre
