OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush - Blue, 12 cm

This was another impulse buy I made when looking for tools to clean my equipment. I had never seen, heard or used one of these devices before but now that I have one I couldn't see myself without it. There are two parts of this tool, the brush on one side which is retractable, and a rubber edged tool on the other. The brush is quite self explanatory for it's use, it gets into more difficult places, for example in between keys in the keyboard, and brushing off of circuit boards when I didn't have my dust blowers on hand and is more accurate than a dust blower anyway at getting certain kinds of particles and dirt. The rubber side has a defined tip and is fantastic for tougher jobs in smaller places. I predominantly use this for getting rid of the dust that manages to pile up and clump together insider mouse lenses, and around the rubber feet of mice which I usually find quite difficult to get rid of but with this, it's just a smooth and enjoyably experience which is not a description you'd hear often about cleaning or any kind! I like this product because it just works. The smaller delicate cleaning jobs I have to do with sensitive equipment is a walk in the park now with this tool and I cannot recommend it enough, for anybody. If you're a Londoner like me dust build up is atrocious and this has just saved me so much cleaning time on a day by day basis.

this is a handy little cleaning tool, brush itself is super soft, but i mainly bought it for the other end which is a silicone pointed tip. I'm yet to be convinced on how useful this will actually be, time will tell. Although the brush is very soft, you can get the same effect with a cheap paintbrush, so all in all, nice little tool, probably a bit overpriced.

I needed something to help clean my laptop keyboard and this seemed ideal - and it is. It's a really well made item, feels very solid and easy to hold. I really like the fact that the brush is retractable so doesn't get damaged, and the "squeegee" end is very useful - gets the bits out from under the keys without damaging them. This is going to be on my desk for many years to come, I think - I have two cats, one of whom thinks that lying on my keyboard is the best place in the world, so I end up with silly amounts of cat hair trapped under the keys, and this little device gets the hair out for me.

The silicon end really doesn't clean that well and gets covered with dust too quickly meaning you have to clean it before your own keyboard is clean. Better off getting one of those goop balls.

I see this was rated on a YouTube video, I've used lots of little cleaning aids before, but I have to say this really is nice. The bristles on one end are very soft, and I used to clean my keyboard dust. The soft rubber side is equally as good to get into little nooks and crannies. It is a premium cost but it's going to last, and worth the price.

Great for getting bits of dust/dead skin/other small debris out of laptop keyboard, especially if each key has its own individual "pocket" (couldn't think of a better way to describe this. I use the brush end on my macbook pro keyboard, its the only thing that gets rid of the little bits of dust that fall down the side of the keys without me having to fiddle about with a post it note for 10 minutes, often putting more than it removes down there. The rubber end is particularly good for removing stuff that has become stuck to the screen/dried on it or for getting bits out of the groove between the edge of the laptop screen and the plastic/metal/rubber fitting around the edges of it. Playing with the retractable bit (the brush end) is incredibly entertaining.

Even after some rigorous cleaning of dust in my computer, the bristles still stand strong. People might find the brushes too soft. This is true. The brushes are somewhat soft but it fulfils my needs. No complaints on the rubber flat end. It does its job. Top quality product.

I got this tool for my car as I have been getting dust in corners that otherwise are hard to reach and clean. This brush excels in cleaning those and is also very gentle so it can be used to also dust screens and other similar 'sensitive' materials that one might not really want to wash with water or something with a bit of liquid. In my case both sides of the brush went in use. I am extremely satisfied.

I got this OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush since I needed a better way to clean the keyboard of my computer, an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. Because, while I use iKlear Spray and a soft cotton knit or flannel (since I usually HATE microfiber cleaning cloths as their texture is so weird & rough and often gets caught on the pads of my fingers or the palm[s] of my hands) scrap of cloth (usually a rag from worn-out old pajamas that were made into cutoffs) to wipe the screen, the mouse/trackpad and other areas, and that works very well, I've been finding it increasingly difficult to reach into the narrow spaces (like in/around/between the sides of the keys and the rest of the keyboard & other areas) with the just the cloth and spray. Although this Apple MacBook Pro is the FIRST Mac computer I've ever owned (though its not the first Apple product I've had -- I got an iPad Mini in 2012) it is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY my FAVORITE computer. Since out of ALL the half-dozen, or dozen or so Windows PCs I've had, over the years (going all the way back to Windows 3.1 in the early 90's) it is HANDS-DOWN the BEST computer that I've ever had, I'm very careful (even go as far as to say, anal & obsessed) about keeping it clean & pristine, and running in new condition for as long as possible! So I was looking for a can of compressed air, a keyboard brush, or some other kind of device that could fit in (and clean out) the gaps between the keys and other small crevices. That was when I came across the OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush -- and I'm glad I got it! Basically, the OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush is a pen-like device that on one end, has a slim silicone wiper with a slanted/pointed tip and at the other end has a soft-bristle brush. After almost a month of having/using this item, on a nearly daily basis, I can say with certainty that BOTH parts (the silicone wiper AND the soft-bristle brush) are ESSENTIAL -- especially for cleaning Mac laptops, in which, as far as I can tell, the gaps between the keyboard keys & the laptop chassis are a lot more narrow & harder to clean out than any of my prior PC laptops (though in all fairness, my PC computers, lasted such a short time [usually around 2 years or less], and were so riddled with problems starting pretty much from Day 1, that I never really bothered to spend much time/energy cleaning the laptop, especially in/around/underneath the keyboard keys like I do with my MacBook Pro which has lasted 4 years as of this coming Christmas -- and is still going strong!) When I clean my laptop, which I usually do on a daily (or alternate/every-other-day) or weekly basis, I first turn the MacBook Pro upside down while open (meaning with the keyboard facing down) and VERY GENTLY tap on the bottom/back of the laptop to get out any stray dirt, crumbs, and/or lint, that might have gotten stuck inside/underneath the keyboard keys, before using the soft-bristle brush on this device, to sweep away whatever dust was loosened in the course of tapping it while holding it upside down. Then, I use the pointed tip of the silicone wiper to grab whatever dirt, crumbs, and/or lint that remain between the keyboard keys -- and finally, last but not least, I use a soft cotton knit or flannel cloth rag and the iKlear Spray to wipe down the screen, the mouse/trackpad, the laptop chassis and the keyboard. I don't usually wipe down the top (front) or bottom (back) of the laptop very often because its pretty much always covered by a hardshell protective case. Anyway, I've been using the OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush for almost a month, and for the most part, it is a GREAT cleaning device. The silicone wiper (especially when using the pointed tip) is very flexible and TERRIFIC at being able to fit INSIDE the sides of the keys, and pick up dirt, lint, crumbs & other stuff. The silicone wiper also comes with a clear plastic cap to keep it clean & protect it from picking up dirt, crumbs, hairs, lint or whatever, when not in use. The soft-bristled brush is also pretty good, though its just a basic soft-bristle brush like any other out there, and nothing to really rave about -- at least not as much as the silicone wiper which is a real help in grabbing whatever dirt, crumbs, lint or whatever else finds its way into the keyboard keys. I love this device and really only have one quibble, which is not really a quibble actually. Its just that the silicone wiper is so GREAT at picking up stuff (dirt, lint, crumbs, etc.) that its necessary to WIPE THE WIPER several times while cleaning my keyboard because of all the gunk from underneath the keys that get stuck to it. That's the only real issue I have with this. I just wish there was a way to reduce the number of times necessary to wipe the silicone wiper clean. But I guess the only way to do that would be to make the wiper bigger, so that it can hold more gunk before needing to be wiped -- yet increasing the size of the silicone wiper would probably make it too big to fit into the narrow gaps around/inside the keys, which would totally defeat the purpose (for me anyway!) of getting this device. Other than that, this is a GREAT computer/electronics cleaner and I'm really glad I got it, and plan to continue using it to clean my laptop on a regular basis!! ★☆★☆★ 5 STARS!!!!

Zunächst war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich dieses Gerät oft benutzen werde. Ein wenig exotisch wirkt es schon...aber inzwischen habe ich diesen handlichen Reiniger schätzen gelernt. Hiermit reinige ich alles Filigrane und viele Elektrogeräte vom Handy über Tastaturen bis zur Kaffeemaschine (Display), denn mit diesem Gerät kann man sehr sensibel und trotzdem gründlich reinigen. Auch kommt man damit in feine Rillen. Der Reinigungspinsel lässt sich stufenlos ausfahren, so dass man darüber die Festigkeit steuern kann. Ganz herausgefahren ist er sehr soft, nur wenig herausgefahren erhält man eine weiche, aber festere Spitze. So kann man den Pinsel an die jeweiligen Erfordernisse gut anpassen. Auf der anderen Seite befindet sich der Silikonwischer, mit dem man prima in die ungeliebten Spalten zwischen zwei Kunststoffteilen kommt. Endlich bekomme ich die problemlos sauber und muss nicht mehr mit Zahnstochern herumpulen. Ich mag diese Reinigungsbürste nicht mehr missen!

Compré uno para regalo y fue todo un acierto. Compraré otro para mi. En un extremo tiene como una espátula de goma para pode limpiar surcos y huecos pequeños. Es bastante eficaz para limpiar pequeñas juntas o ranuras, relojes, móviles, etc. En el otro extremo tiene una especie de pincel que atrapa el polvo, muy útil para limpiar por ejemplo los teclados y rinconcitos donde se puede acumular polvo fácilmente. En definitiva, me parece un gadget bastante práctico para tener a mano.
