BLACK+DECKER BDCCS18N-XJ 18 V Circular Saw

Marvellous power tool, very easy to use and cuts through wood effortlessly. Not heavy to hold and cuts accurately, put a heavy duty 4ah battery on and will work for about an hour. Very pleased with this saw.

Purchased for long cuts needed on some new decking. I already had a battery from the black and decker strimmer so thought it would make sense to get a body only unit. Read the instructions for cutting depth, this tool won't take prisoners if you underestimate it. The cutting guide is very accurate and I was very impressed with the quality of cut, even on a 2.4metre length of decking, wouldn't have been able to keep the line as straight with my jigsaw. I would say get a spare battery if you're going to be making a lot of cuts, you don't want it dying half way through, I am very pleased with this purchase, especially for diy projects.

As a DIY tool this saw is pretty good, with one big exception. I didn't think it was possible to buy a circular saw which did not include a parallel guide, also known as a rip fence. It is after all just two small pieces of metal welded together. I called the B&D customer advice people, who were as helpful as they could be; only to find that while the saw baseplate has the fittings for a guide, the guide is not included. Worse still, B&D do not make one to buy; but it was added that the guides of other manufacturers might fit – at extra cost. I needed to cut fixed width lengths off 9mm ply boards in straight lines. However, without a guide the B&D saw was unfit for my simple purpose, so it went back under Amazon’s customer friendly returns policy. For my use the saw would rate one star, but I would give it four as a steer for other buyers who might not need to cut fixed widths in straight lines. It would benefit from a case, though the info made it clear that one was not included. However, it fits into a DeWalt IV Tstack box. My only other suggestion for the B&D design team is that with very little modification the saw could be made as an alternative to take the B&D 36V batteries, which would give it a much better performance.

Excellent cutting and battery life. Had to hunt for a finer cut blade.

great little saw

I was happy like a child when the package arrived, but I was terribly disappointed because I cut four boards and it stopped working, ehh. I thought it was the battery, but it doesn't work on four other batteries either. So it's damaged

Seems ok, but instructions are WOEFUL. Had to search some youtube videos re. attaching the blade and setup. Would have been helpful to include accessories to help cutting straight like most other circular saws come with. Seems to cut ok.. definitely needs the 4.0ah battery.

I like everything about this saw, very light weight to use, very powerful. It cuts clean and Quick. Only used it for cutting floor boarding, pine boards and some solid oak panels and never lost any power. Battery life is good, depends what you cut.

The item is built decently for it's price. My only concern is that the saw guard is plastic. Although it is hard plastic. But i think b+d can do better for that guard. Over all it's a good cordless circular saw for home use.

Nach der Renovierung der Küche benötigte ich eine Kreissäge um 3 Türen in der länge um 6mm zu kürzen. Die in der Familie beim ersten Umzug vererbte kabelgebundene Kreissäge verabschiedete sich mit einem Knall. So brauchte ich Ersatz. Für Jene die schon etwas aus der B&D 18V Serie besizen ist die B&D Akku- Handkreissäge ein echtes Schnäppchen, für Neueinsteiger lohnt er sich für den privaten- und oder Hobby- Bereich ebenfalls. Die Handkreissäge ist intuitiv bedienbar, Knöpfe und Funktionen sind leicht erreichbar - Werkzeug benötigt man nur zum Wechseln des Blatts. Der Schneidschutz verhindert Fehlbedienung während des Anlaufenlassens. Sie ist Axial (=Links/rechts in der Flucht) in 5Grad Schritten verstellbar, die Eintauchtiefe ebenfalls (beides ohne Werkzeug) . Sie schneidet kraftvoll und auch der Kleine 1,5ah Akku hat für 3 Türen völlig ausgereicht, dazu kann man einen Stausauger anschließen, wodurch der Schneidestaub zielgerichtet abgeleitet wird. Ich bin hellauf begeistert, Preis-/Leistung ist der Kracher und dazu hat man keinen Kabelsalat mehr. Den "Professionellen"/ Arbeitstäglichen Einsatz kann ich nicht bewerten - jedoch ist das Gerät hochwertig verarbeitet - ich habe keinen Zweifel, dass auch das Funktioniert. Ebenfalls perfekt für Erstbesitzer einer Bestandsimmobilie ("gebrauchtes Haus"), welche ab und zu eine Handkreissäge brauchen.

Je bricole beaucoup. J'en avais marre de demander du matériel. Je voulais pas mettre une fortune dans une scie circulaire . Ayant deja cette marque (visseuse, visseuse à choc, tondeuse, rotofil, marteux burineur etc...)pour ne pas avoir a racheter des batteries supplémentaires j'ai donc racheter du black et decker. Je ne suis pas déçu du tout. Ca coupe bien sans aucune difficulté. C'est sur que je n'est pas une marque haut de gamme mais j'en suis tres content.
