Nice product works well. Cat loves it and so do we. Design is simple, it was easy to fit and screw length was perfect. Size as described in the details. The flap fully opens both was allowing my cat easy use to get in and out. Keeps out the drafts and quiet.

Assuming your door already has the relevant hole, if you are replacing a previous catflap, for example, all it takes is 4 screws to fit and takes about 2 minutes, if that. THis is the thrid one i have fit, but we have a field out the back that has foxes and badgers living there, and more than once they have managed to make their way through the flap at night when it was set to in only and then almost ripped the thing to pieces trying to get out again! Not the fault of the catflap, obviously. There's not much that is going to get in the way of an angry badger! It's a basic catflap, you can lock it to in/out only or totally locked, and it doesn;t have any sort of microchip to lock it to other cats or animals. but it does the job, is inexpensive, and very easy to fit. If you have a thinner door, just remember to fit the spacers onto the screws before you put them in the holes so that the screws don;t stick out to far on the other side, but that is as complicated as it gets. 4 screws and mpop the covers over the holes. like i said, two minutes.

No problem fitting

I installed this in my shed for a feral cat as I've made carpeted platforms in there for him to escape the weather. This cat door was the second one I tried, the first (a different brand) had a design flaw and couldn't lock due to the screws being too long, and felt very flimsy and small. This was perfect as the feral cat is a big boy, and it locks or unlocks fast (great for catching him to take to the vet), he used it easily after only a few treats to show him how. Has held up well for several months. Also easy to clean.

It's a perfectly functional cat flap, albeit with a slightly fiddly locking mechanism. Arthritic fingers beware. The worst thing is that my cat completely refuses to go through it, despite previously using the cat flap this replaced for 4 years. I'm not sure if it's the dark tint on the flap, or just that he's a bellend. A previously well established fact.

The cat flap was fairly easy to fit to the back door but I personally do not think it is suitable for the type of door I have. The door is half double glazed and has insulation on the bottom half sandwiched between sheets of metal, this meant the screws supplied were not long enough, thankfully my son had brought his tool kit which contained various sizes of screws so was able to get the cat flap fitted. It took my 2 cats a few days to get used to using it but they both come and go whenever they want. The magnet seems to be quite strong so should last a long time. Overall I am really happy with the cat flap but I would advise you check the measurements of your door, my daughter-in-law bought the cat flap for me when we knew I would be moving which is why the correct measurements were not known but considering the issues we had with the fitting it still works really well

This is a very well built pet door for a cat or small dog. It was easy to install. It actually comes with a template so you can cut a perfect hole. As many others have said, this door comes with screws that are only long enough for a door that is 1/2 inch thick or less, like a storm door. You could use it for any door, but you would have to buy longer screws. The door seals well when closed and it actually snaps into the closed position almost magically (I could not figure out how it does it, it does not have any springs). The door has two locks; one to prevent the door from opening inward and another to prevent the door from opening outward. When both lock are disengaged the door will open either way and when both are engaged, the door will not open at all. I found this two way locking system very useful. We live out in the country, so our cat wonders a lot, especially on days we want to take him to the vet. We just set the door to open inward only, and the next time he comes in for a drink, he can't get out. I recommend this product for anyone with a cat or small dog.

Two cats that have never had a see through cat door before got used to this one real fast. This one stays nice and shut when it's windy. Of course it lets in a little cold air (Swedish winter) compared to the rest of the wooden door but sure is a lot better than the flap it replaced. Would recommend.
