Until 2 different repairman came to 'fix' our fridge, I was never really aware of this type of thermometer. The classic fridge thermometer had been showing temps too high for a fridge. I even bought a new fridge thermometer thinking the old one had conked out. But no, it wasn't the thermometer, it was the fridge. The 1st repair guy used this to measure the temp in the fridge and it confirmed that it was the fridge. After he fiddled around and said he fixed it within a day it was back to the higher temps. Then the second repair guy came and he too used an infrared thermometer showing the same thing. I was so amazed and impressed with this type of infrared thermometer that I knew then and I there I wanted one and needed one. After the second guy did a little this and a little that the fridge seemed better. BUT I wasn't 100% confident, so I looked around on Amazon for something with very good reivews and not too expensive. That's when I found this one - I like everything about this -the 2 batteries were included and were easy to install and worked right out of the box, it's comfortable to hold, it's easy to squeeze (I have bad arthritis) the numbers are bright, the price was great, the delivery was fast. I use this in the fridge a couple of time daily just to be sure the temps are good. I feel much more confident with this tool and I'm really glad we bought it.

This item seems to work just fine for the purposes for which it is made. I like the fact that it has a large range of temperature readability. The reason I give it only four stars on the Accuracy is that it appears, depending on the ambient temperature of the item you are measuring, the reading may be a little off. For instance, if you are measuring an item that you are using under heavy lighting the item may read a little hotter than it actually is, or if you are attempting to read the temperature of an item in extremely cold weather the item may read lower than the item actually is too. I am not sure if this is actually the case, as I do not want to do the scientific research on it to see what the probability is of it occurring, but it just appears to be my experience and perception. But if this is the case it would apply to any Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun in this price range I would assume. I like the points that this gun's screen is in color as it makes it very easy to read. Also, the laser pointer indicator is not just one red dot but has one large center dot surrounded my several smaller red dots thereby making it easier to see and pickup when using in more lighted environments. Furthermore, when reading larger objects, gives you the opportunity to gather readings on a larger percentage of the object.

Works very well but if left in the sun to long it over heats and gives an error message. A couple moments in the fridge solved the error message but it was still a little inconvenient.

My boyfriend uses this all the time. I got him a vevor tabletop grill and these two items are perfect for him. He knows when exactly to start cooking and it was a great price. The size is perfect and it is very easy to use

We do a lot of outdoor grilling as well as cast iron cooking inside and this infrared temperature gun has already gotten a workout in the short time I've had it! The display is really easy to read, especially after dark while cooking outside. It gives you lots of good info on what it is you're measuring and the result is almost instantaneous. The laser is composed of 9 points, not just one, so that your temperature readout is very accurate over many different surfaces. Once you've taken your reading, without further input the thermometer will auto-shutdown to save power. Just depress the trigger again to turn it on. I'm really enjoying my new infrared thermometer and am pretty sure you will, too! Recommended.

Originally purchased bc I needed to know temps of my basking spots on my reptile enclosures and in different spaces besides ambient temp. It works absolutely wonderful for that purpose and it's accurate. I also keep fish tanks. I'm now down sizinging, however, I have a 75 gallon community tank. I started using it to make sure the water coming out of the faucet was the same as the water in the water in the tank and I am never off. I don't have to worry about shocking my fish. I also have a 30 gallon tank with guppies and platies so there are lots of fry so the last thing I want to do is stress the mom or fry. I do lots of small water water changes bc I read one big water is more stressful on my. I try to vacuum a few times a week but new hang at the bottom but I did make a corner filled with rocks so they canbhidebin there. This infrared temp gun is amazing. Especially for the price. I use it at least 6-10 times a week at least.....
