Needed a diffuser for a for an overhead light that generated too much light in all the wrong places when recording social media content. Diffuser is very good quality - fabric and frame feel well made. The zip over cover is reversible and gives you gold / white or black / silver. All zips again, seem decent quality. Essentially the diffuser frame I’m using goes inside and you then use the side you want to reflect light accordingly. I’ve used just the central bit to soften my ceiling light to the purpose I need, but having tested the various other options I can see those offer a good selection of lighting tones and effects to suit a variety of needs. I can’t speak for the others of a similar spec available on Amazon, but I can speak for this one - well made - quality - great value - recommend

This reflector is a nice compact size, while still being large enough to be useful. I very much like the two handles, especially with the tripod screw sockets, so it can be mounted on a stand, which is particularly useful for me as a one-man photographer/filmmaker. Having five different options in one, including a diffuser, white, black, gold, and silver, makes it very versatile for functionality, and it feels like a good-quality product for the price; folding away easily enough for storage. In use, I very much like the diffuser and the black for negative fill to create some contrast. The white is fine as well, but I wish the silver and gold were more of a matte finish, so the brightness and tone could be created without adding excessive contrast, especially because it is hard on the eyes of any subject in sunlight. Unfortunately, this is a common fault in my view with reflectors like this.

Larger than expected but that’s not a bad thing. Lots of flexibility and options available.

Great modifier... easy to pack away, transport and unpack.... a quick and surprisingly effective alternative to using an extra light to fill in the shadows, even out the light, or create a bit of drama to the picture/scene. Nearly 15 years of amateur photography and I can't believe I haven't bought one of these sooner. Great piece of kit.

I'm just going to jump on the bandwagon here - but for good reason! This product is simply astounding. The price of £11 is good enough, but maybe you'd expect a so-so product that would only be good for small film/photo projects? No way! This thing has 5 different reflective surfaces, from gold to silver to translucent white, that allow for all kinds of diverse lighting tricks and tactics for a perfect shot. It's a great size and folds up easily into a nice bag for easy transport to different locations. I struggled with lighting for a while before I took my work more seriously, and upon buying this I have already found ways to erase annoying lighting issues - like silhouettes, one sided light sources and overly powerful artificial lights that create too much glare. Those going into filming (like myself) or photography and are in need of improved lighting: you can't go wrong with this thing!

I bought the 30cm reflector. It has been interesting to compare it to an actual 30cm Lastolite (which cost a lot more). It's noticeably less sturdy than a Lastolite, smaller and less stiff. It flops around a lot more when clamped, which could be irritating if you're using it outside and don't want movement. The tradeoff is that it's cheap as chips - so if you want something to throw in your camera bag or repurpose in weird ways, you're not risking your nice reflector. Compared to a Lastolite, because it's less taut and stiff and made of cheaper material, it's noticeably more wrinkly, so if your use case absolutely demands uniform results, you might want to look elsewhere. However, in practise, any impact is fairly mild as the reflected light tends to be nice and diffuse anyway. It's worth knowing though. So you pays your money and you makes your choice, essentially. There's definitely a place for cheap and cheerful stuff like this, even if it doesn't perform or last as well as the "proper" brands. If you only need something like this once in a blue moon, the cost is easier to justify. It also has a place for people who want to leave their good stuff in the studio. Even though it's a bit floppy and wrinkly (shush), I will be keeping it, to keep my decent portable reflectors "for best". It's currently clamped and because it's less expensive, I don't don't need to worry about tearing it accidentally by walking into is as much. I uploaded a picture of this - excuse the dodgy phone "portrait mode" background blur- was in a hurry! It does a job inexpensively- if that's your priority, it's a valid option.

Excellent product, especially for the price and quick enough on delivery. No problems in general use and is easy to use and fold away. I guess I could nit pick and say the reversible cover should have black and white layers on the outside, whilst the gold and silver should be on the other, as the black and white sides would be used the most... This would save time having to unzip the cover and reverse it, just to gain access to the black side, after using the white side (also would completely reduce the wear on the zip)..... But just a small misgiving as I'll probably buy another, at this price. Still, the cheapest thing I have purchased for my camera work.. :-) Also, the zip(s) seem fine in general use.. I guess being a little careful, may be the secret... ;-)
