Vitax Clay Breaker Soil Additives,

Essential if you have clay soil. We had some landscaping work done in our garden and a small digger compacted the turf area, so much so I had to lay a new turf myself. This helped to break up some of the soil, even in the sub-tropical and dry summer we’ve had. I’ve since used it on flower beds with compost and in a matter of 3 weeks the soil is crumbly and friable. I intend to use it this winter on flower beds as frost is said to give it the best results (although for me, so far, the results have been awesome). Overall, would definitely recommend. The only point I would flag is it is just as cheap (and sometimes cheaper) in garden centres and DIY stores, so perhaps shop around.

It does break down the clay but don’t expect immediate results and you don’t get much for money.

Product ok and delivered quickly, but when I opened the Amazon box one of the Vitax boxes damaged and was leaking from a corner bottom meaning a lot of the content was in the Amazon box not the Vitax box

It definitely works. I live in Somerset UK where the ground is very clay like. I dug out the ground for a pond and used the excess to create a rockery in my garden. As the clay dried it become almost like rocks. So I applied this stuff and it definitely worked after a while. Although I didn’t do it in autumn like it suggests. I done it in summer and still got good results. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the package arrived broken and the pellets was all over all the other stuff o ordered. Luckily most of it was sealed so not a huge problem. It would be better if it came in a sealed plastic bag IMO
