Super easy to use, great price!
My pup (Miniature Bull Terier) is getting ready to give birth so we need to monitor her temperature. Looked around amazon for a digital rectal thermometer and decided with this one. I don't need a fancy thermometer just something quick, effective and straight to the point. This thermometer does just that! So easy to use, so easy to clean and comes with a storage case. Design is clean and sleek. Great money value!

Easy to read, but temp readings fluctuate
I think I may have a thermometer fetish...I've ordered a dozen thermometers over the past five years, and have very particular tastes. I ordered this one because it gets so many great reviews on Amazon, but when I use it, the beeps indicating it's in use are anemic, and the temperature readings vary from 96.6 to 98.2 within a minute or two of one another, and differ from my other thermometers (including my favorite, the Vicks Comfortflex, around the same price). It also takes much longer than the Vicks, which would be okay if it were consistently accurate, but the Vicks seems to give me better readings within 15 seconds or so. UPDATE: I sent the first one back and Amazon immediately replaced it (love Amazon!). The second one is just as inconsistent as the first one, and both read a full degree and a half below all my other thermometers (yes, I have multiple thermometers). Both are going back to Amazon today. I'm through with this brand.

Waste of money
If I could give zero stars I would. Do not waste your money. The battery pre-installed was so low it first read "low", when I tried again it read "err". It came with a replacement battery, but that battery was also dead. I know I can return the item, but my time is too valuable to go through the effort for such a low priced item. I will go to the pet supply store and purchase another thermometer. Live and learn... you get what you pay for.
