Amazing product - buy it!
One of my top buys as a breastfeeding mother! I have neck and shoulder problems and holding my little baby to feed was causing so much pain that I was crying during every feed. I tried other cushions but they were too soft and didn't hold my baby high enough. I was just about to quit breastfeeding when I came across this pillow and thought I'd give it a go. Well, it is fantastic! It saved my shoulders and allowed me to continue feeding! I would highly recommend this to anyone struggling to feed because of back pain. The cushion is made of firm foam which is shaped for you and baby and fastens around your waist. Baby then lies on the top, saving your shoulders from having to lift them. I was ready to give up from the pain at 4 weeks but thanks to this pillow I'm still breastfeeding at 5 months.

wish i'd bought it sooner!
It's very rare that I am moved to review a product I bought on amazon but I really want to sing the praises of this pillow, it is absolutely brilliant. I bought this support because I was having difficulty getting my baby correctly positioned and I was mainly influenced by the positive reviews already published - yes it is expensive, but I was at my wits end and wanted something that would really help with breastfeeding. My husband thinks it looks like I'm an ice cream seller at the cinema when i have it strapped on, but it holds the baby at just the right height and makes it so much easier for her to get latched on. Then, once in position you have a free hand to surf the net, read, use the remote control or do what ever it is you do to pass the time while your baby is feeding. I've had it a week now and I would be lost without it. I only got it after 3 weeks of struggling, with hindsight i wish i'd had it from the start, it would have been especially useful for those early days where the baby is very floppy and it is so hard to hold them in position. It would have also been great for those early days growth spurt nurseathons where I had sore arms, sore back and very sore boobs from feeding constantly for pretty much 24 hours! If you can afford it I would highly recommend making this purchase if you are breastfeeding, it's already my most used piece of baby kit.

Great breastfeeding pillow but too pricy
Amazing breastfeeding pillow, I was much more comfortable breastfeeding when I got this and I was able to lie the baby on the pillow and do other things while breastfeeding like use the computer or even eat at the table with my both hands! Very expensive for what it is though hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Good For Breast Feeding, Shame About the Cheap Zip
I bought this for my wife to assist her in breast feeding our new baby. It does serve its purpose well, supporting both mother and baby at comfortable angles and offering back support. It is much better than pillows and makes the sometimes difficult job of breast feeding easier. Being a breast feeding aid, it is inevitable that at some point your little one is going to vomit or spill milk on it, this happened to us. We removed the cover and washed it as directed with the zip done up on a gentle wash in the washing machine. Next came the difficult part: We had great difficulty in replacing the cover due to the shape of the support foam, the cover only has one zip that you have to manipulate the foam in to. The zip is only made of cheap plastic and came apart during this process which rendered the cover useless with a broken zip. It was returned for a replacement. Given the cost of this item, for what in effect is a lump of foam and cotton cover with strap; I would have liked to have seen it made with a stronger zip mechanism or better designed to enable ease of cover removal/replacement. Given the negtives, my wife still loves it and thinks it's the best thing to assist breast feeding.

Outstanding
Please read this. This is the first time I've written a review but felt that I had to as this product has been a godsend. You will have read about the flaws...just a piece of foam and very expensive but still worth every penny in my opinion. I am still using this with my son who is now 6 months old. He is average height and build by the way. I wish I'd had it when breastfeeding my first child but having spent 6 months breastfeeding I knew what I wanted this time.... a firm pillow that would keep my baby in place and it does that. I found the bumps in it a little strange at first but soon realised they helped to keep him in place and to support his head. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned the following advantages though; Because it clips together and stays in place, it has allowed me the ease of feeding in ANY type of chair, including any cafe/restaurant/pub/friend's house, whereas with my first child I was more restricted by needing an armchair/sofa/the right kind of arm support. This has meant that I can easily sit at a dinner table with him feeding/sleeping while I can eat too. Life has been able to carry on as normal without interrupting his feeding routines or me having to wait until I've finished breastfeeding before I can join the table. So I've eaten out easily and have been able to have dinner each night with my family. Although the cushion is big, I can fit it in the bottom of my pram so take it out and about if I need to. Secondly, if I need to stand up to get something (which I frequently do with a 2 yr old as well)/change nappies etc. I can quickly reposition myself without having to reorganise cushions to support my arm/back. There is less hassle and time wasted than I remember with my first child. If you do have a baby with reflux I'd recommend using a handtowel/muslin with it as well. You could probably fit a muslin under the cover to protect the foam. I remember spending a long time deciding between this and other similar products and it's difficult to know without trying them, especially if buying for first time breastfeeding but I would say if you know you are planning to be feeding for a while this is worth spending the money on. Out of everything I have bought for my baby, this has been the best.

Not worth the money. Disappointed.
I bought this based on the reviews and friends' rcommendstions. I was very disappointed because the concept is great and when you set yourself up it can be very comfy. However, I need to put a few pillows on my back to lean back comfortably and need to put one or two pillows on my lap (under this nursing pillow) because otherwise it's way too low for my baby to reach my breasts. Therefore, I find I need a good 4 or 5 extra pillows to set myself up comfortably to breastfeed, which in my view defeats the purpose of this pillow. I also find this product too pricey for what it is and given that in itself it won't make me breastfeed comfortably (I need so many extra pillows for a good set up). Finally, even with all the extra pillows I still find myself leaning forward so that my baby can easily reach my breasts to feed, which is causing me back ache. Based on the above I would not recommend this product and think it's normal worth what it costs.

Expensive, but worth it!
I really debated buying this due to the cost, I'm so glad I did. I really struggled feeding on one side and couldn't get my baby in a comfy position for him to latch on properly. My midwife showed me various holds but I just couldn't do it. This pillow helped me position my baby in the correct position and also helped relieve the excruciating back ache I was experiencing from leaning over feeding. As a new born my baby could feed more easily, and as he got heavier it saved my wrists from hurting whilst taking the weight of his head for long durations of time. If he fell asleep feeding, I would keep the pillow on but could let the pillow take his weight. My baby is now 7 and a half menthols and I am still feeding him, admittedly not using the pillow on a regular basis but it does still come in handy. Don't waste your time and money trying and buying other cheaper pillows, this is the best buy and I know without it I wouldn't be still breast feeding.

Disappointed but it may work for you
So I had tried another pillow without a back strap and this would wriggle forwards so I thought I'd invest in this. I found my baby was held too high up no matter how I pushed the pillow down or repositioned myself. The worst thing was the back strap and padded support really hurt my back. I got my partner to try it on and he is muscular/ flat tummy and he found it really uncomfortable too. Maybe it's your body type? The pillow was collected and refunded without a problem so maybe give it a go and it may suit you.
